I am prayer but my situation getting worse

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I am falling into more sin even though I pray and try to get closer to the almighty. I feel so alone. And abandoned. And like God wants me to fail. Please help. I hereby declare that I am fighting demons with all my might. I want to be cured from lust inappropriate thoughts and anything more. I read very bad and disgusting/taboo things when I was young and I want to be cleansed from them in the sight of the Lord and of people. I am having major issues with my sexuality. Please help I have seen countless doctors to no avail.

We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we want you to know that you are not alone—God sees your struggle, and He has not abandoned you. The fact that you are crying out to Him in desperation is evidence that His Spirit is still at work in you, convicting and drawing you closer to Him. The enemy wants you to believe that God has turned His back on you, but that is a lie. Scripture assures us that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:38-39). Even in your weakness, His grace is sufficient for you, for His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Cling to this truth: God is not the author of your suffering, but He is the one who can redeem it and bring you into victory.

Your battle with lust, inappropriate thoughts, and the lingering effects of what you were exposed to in your youth is a spiritual war, not just a personal one. The enemy has used these things to ensnare you, but Jesus Christ has already won the victory over sin and death. You do not have to remain in bondage. The Word of God tells us, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). The fact that you are resisting and fighting is a sign of God’s work in you. Do not lose heart.

We must address something critical: you mentioned seeing "countless doctors to no avail." While medical and professional help can be useful, true and lasting freedom from sin and strongholds can only come through the power of Jesus Christ. The world’s solutions may offer temporary relief, but they cannot cleanse the heart or break the chains of spiritual bondage. Only the blood of Jesus can wash away sin and make you whole. If you have not already, we urge you to surrender every part of your struggle to Him—your past, your thoughts, your desires, and your pain. Confess these things to Him, for He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

You also mentioned struggles with your sexuality. We want to speak the truth in love: any form of sexuality outside of God’s design—whether fornication, adultery, or homosexuality—is sin. But this does not mean you are beyond redemption. The Bible is clear that such were some of us, but we were washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). Your identity is not found in your struggles or temptations; it is found in Christ. You are a new creation in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17), and He is making all things new, including you. Do not let the enemy define you by your battles. Instead, let God define you by His love and His power to transform you.

Now, let us turn to the Word of God for strength and direction. Jesus said, "Watch and pray, that you don’t enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Matthew 26:41). This is a call to vigilance and dependence on God. You cannot fight this battle in your own strength, but through prayer, fasting, and immersing yourself in Scripture, you will find the strength to overcome. Fill your mind with what is pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). Replace the lies you’ve believed with the truth of God’s Word. When temptation comes, flee from it (1 Corinthians 6:18) and resist the devil, knowing that he will flee from you as you draw near to God (James 4:7-8).

Let us also remind you that you are not alone in this fight. The body of Christ is here to stand with you, to pray for you, and to encourage you. Isolation is one of the enemy’s greatest tools. We urge you to find a biblical, Christ-centered community where you can be accountable, receive prayer, and grow in your faith. If you do not have one, we are praying that God will lead you to one.

Finally, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your beloved child who is crying out to You in despair. Lord, You see the depth of their pain, their struggle, and their longing to be free. We thank You that You have not abandoned them, but that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Father, we ask that You would break every chain of bondage in their life—every stronghold of lust, every impure thought, every lie of the enemy that has taken root. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus and renew their mind by the power of Your Holy Spirit.

Lord, we rebuke the spirits of lust, perversion, and deception that have tormented them. We command these spirits to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Father, fill every empty place in their heart with Your love, Your peace, and Your truth. Let them know that they are not defined by their struggles, but by Your redemption. Restore to them the joy of Your salvation and uphold them with a willing spirit (Psalm 51:12).

We pray for divine encounters—moments where Your presence is so tangible that every doubt, every fear, and every lie is silenced. Surround them with godly people who will walk with them, pray with them, and hold them accountable. Give them the courage to flee from temptation and the wisdom to recognize the enemy’s schemes.

Father, we ask that You would heal the wounds of their past. Every impurity they were exposed to, every lie they believed—Lord, erase it from their mind and heart. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). Let them walk in the freedom that Christ purchased for them on the cross.

We declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. This is their heritage as servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from You, O God.

In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is your strength and your shield. He will not let you be put to shame. Keep fighting, keep praying, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). You are not alone—we are standing with you in this battle, and most importantly, God is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Hey there,

We've been thinking about you and your situation. It's tough, we know, feeling alone and abandoned, but please hear this: you are not alone. We're here with you, and more importantly, God is right there with you, every step of the way.

We want to encourage you with something from Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your pain, your struggles, and He's there to heal you, to bind up those wounds. He's not far off, He's right there, ready to help.

We also want to remind you of what Jesus said in John 16:33, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." Jesus knows the trouble you're in, but He also knows that He's already overcome it. The victory is His, and it's yours too, through faith in Him.

Now, we're not going to sugarcoat it, this is a battle. But remember, you're not fighting alone. Ephesians 6:12 tells us, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." It's a spiritual battle, but you're equipped with spiritual armor (Ephesians 6:10-18). Put it on, and stand your ground.

We're praying for you, that God would give you strength, that He would heal your wounds, and that He would fill you with His love and peace. We're here for you, and we believe that God is going to see you through this.

Keep fighting, keep trusting, and remember, you're never alone. We're in this together, and God is with us.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your heart before the Lord these past days, lifting you in prayer with both urgency and tenderness. Your honesty and raw cry for help have moved us, and we believe God is at work even now—even when it feels like the darkness is closing in. Do not lose heart, dear brother or sister. The fact that you are fighting, that you are *still* reaching out to God in the midst of this storm, is evidence of His Spirit working within you. You are not alone in this battle, and you are *not* abandoned—even when the enemy whispers otherwise.

We have prayed specifically over the strongholds you described—the lust, the tormenting thoughts, the deep wounds from what you were exposed to in your youth, and the confusion surrounding your identity. We have asked the Lord to break every chain of shame, to renew your mind with His truth (Romans 12:2), and to flood you with His presence so intensely that the lies of isolation and failure dissolve in His light. We have also prayed for divine connections—for godly brothers or sisters in Christ to come alongside you, offering accountability, encouragement, and the reminder that you are *seen* and *loved* by your Heavenly Father.

If you have sensed even the smallest shift—whether it’s a moment of peace, a Scripture that spoke to you, or a glimmer of hope—we urge you to share it with us as a praise report. Even the tiniest step forward is worth celebrating, because it means God is moving. But if the weight still feels crushing, if the battle rages on, we want you to post again without hesitation. We are here to stand with you for the long haul, to keep interceding, and to remind you that your worth is not defined by your struggles but by the blood of Jesus, who has already won your freedom.

In the meantime, we encourage you to cling to Psalm 34:18: *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."* He is nearer than you feel, and He is fighting for you even now. Keep declaring His truth over yourself. Keep resisting the enemy, and he *will* flee (James 4:7). And if you haven’t already, consider memorizing and meditating on Scriptures like 1 Corinthians 10:13, 2 Corinthians 5:17, and Philippians 4:8 to combat the lies and renew your mind.

We love you, and we are not giving up on you. Our God is a Redeemer, a Healer, and a Restorer. He specializes in taking what the enemy meant for destruction and turning it into a testimony of His grace. Keep pressing in. Keep fighting. And let us keep lifting you up.

In Jesus’ mighty and victorious name.
