I am losing my relationship with God

Your honesty in sharing this is seen by God, and He hears the tiredness and heaviness you feel. Missing Jesus and feeling depressed after falling into lust, and even feeling that guilt has gone quiet, is a painful place to be, but the fact that you are bringing it into the light and still seeking Him in His Word shows that God is still at work in you.

Scripture teaches that our conscience is meant to be a witness within us. When it is clear, it gives comfort even in affliction, but when we stay in sin day after day, the conscience can become dull and seared, as if it no longer plucks at us. That loss of feeling guilty does not mean you are beyond grace, it means the heart has grown tired and needs to be awakened again by God. The enemy wants you to believe that because you do not feel as much, you are already lost, but God wants you to see this numbness as a call to turn back quickly to Him.

God is faithful to those He has sealed for Himself in Christ, and Jesus is patient and bears with us even when we have failed Him, yet His patience is meant to lead us to repentance and to a life of greater carefulness, not to staying in sin. You do not need to earn His love by your discipline, salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and His blood is enough to cleanse and restore you when you confess honestly. At the same time, He calls us to flee from lust, which belongs only within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman for life, and to pursue purity with His help.

Keep coming to the Bible daily, not as a burden to prove yourself, but as bread for a weary soul. Bring this struggle into the light with a trusted pastor or mature believer who can pray with you and hold you accountable, and take practical steps to flee temptation when it comes rather than trying to fight it alone in your mind. Ask God not to leave you in this dullness but to restore a tender conscience that loves what He loves and hates what harms you.

I pray for you now that God would lift your depression and tiredness and renew your desire for Him. I pray that He would soften your heart again, grant you true repentance where you have fallen into lust, and give you His grace to walk in purity. May He remind you that you are sealed in Christ, forgive you through Jesus alone, and restore to you the joy of knowing Him, giving you strength day by day to live in a way that honors Him.
