I am in my thirties and have been addicted to over the counter sleeping pills. I want to stop this so badly but I am so afraid of having withdrawals like bad dreams . Please pray for me.

I want to also say that I've been taking the sleeping pills on and off for over 5 years. They are very hard to stop and I am all out of them and have only one left in the pack. I almost want to go out and buy more but I really want to stop and am very worried about the withdrawal symptoms. Please pray for me and I thank you.

Loves let me pray for you. Dear Heavenly Father I pray for Loves. Lord your child is in need and desires your strength. Lord I pray that you give Loves amazing and supernatural strength to overcome this addiction.
Loves, know that the Holy Spirit is in you and please consider your body is a temple and you poison Him too by taking these medications.
Here is a bible verse:
"In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. (Psalm 4:8 NIV)
When you feel weak just keep repeating this verse:
"I can do all things thru Christ that strengtheneth me (Phil 4:13)
Also it is ok to talk to your doctor too. My background is in emergency medicine and I can tell you it's ok. No one will judge you and trust me that medical professionals have trouble with sleeping medications too. We can help so please see someone. Some Research shows that people on long term sleeping medications tend to die earlier too. So I pray that you stay strong and eliminate this and talk to a physician about the problem.
I know you can do this and I know of others who have completely stopped so you can do it. He strong in Christ and He will help you. I pray for you in Jesus name. Amen.
