We are truly grateful for your honesty and humility in bringing this before us. We are reminded in 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name, as it is written in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Now you mention the struggles with pornography, masturbation, sexual sin, flirting, and lustful looking. These are indeed serious issues that God wants to deliver you from. We are encouraged by your desire to be free from these bondages, as it is written in Romans 8:5-6, For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace.
Jesus taught in Matthew 5:28 But I tell you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. This shows us that God desires purity not just in our actions, but also in our hearts and minds.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in their struggle against sexual immorality and lust. Father, we know that Your desire is for us to be holy as You are holy. We ask that You forgive them of these sins and cleanse them from all unrighteousness.
We pray that You will transform their mind, behavior, and perception. May You grant them a new heart and a new spirit, removing the stony heart and replacing it with a heart of flesh. Help them to see others as You see them, created in Your image, and not as objects of desire.
Grant them the power of the Holy Spirit to resist temptation and to flee from sexual immorality. Give them the strength to take every thought captive to obey Christ. May they fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of our faith, and delight in You, desiring You more than the desires of the flesh.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, we pray for complete deliverance and transformation. Amen.
We encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Engage in daily prayer, worship, and studying of God's Word. Surround yourself with fellow believers who will encourage you and hold you accountable.
Also memorize and meditate on scriptures that reinforce the new nature you have in Christ such as Galatians 2:20 which says, I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
Lastly, be encouraged by the words of Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:13, No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
Trust in God's faithfulness, and strive to live a life pleasing to Him. We are here to support you in prayer and counsel.
