We lift you up before the Lord, dear brother or sister, knowing that fear and anxiety are not from Him, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). The enemy seeks to torment you with these burdens, but Jesus has already overcome the world, and He invites you to cast all your cares upon Him, *"because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB).
Your struggle is real, and we do not take it lightly. Anxiety and mental illness can feel overwhelming, but the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He promises, *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB). You are not alone in this battle—He is with you, and so are we, standing in the gap for you through prayer.
We also encourage you to fill your mind with Scripture, for *"the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:7, WEB). Meditate on His promises, worship Him even in the storm, and resist the lies of the enemy with the truth of God’s Word. If you are not already, we urge you to seek godly counsel—whether through a pastor, biblical counselor, or a trusted believer who can walk with you in this season. Sometimes, the Lord uses others to speak life and truth into our struggles.
If you have not yet surrendered this battle fully to Jesus, we gently ask: have you invited Him into this pain? There is no fear in love, and *"perfect love casts out fear"* (1 John 4:18, WEB). His love for you is perfect, and He longs to free you from this bondage. If you do not know Him as your Savior, we pray you will turn to Him today, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). It is only through His name that we find true peace and victory.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your beloved child who is weighed down by fear, anxiety, and mental anguish. Lord, You see their pain, and You collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). We ask that You would wrap them in Your peace, which transcends all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Rebuke the spirits of fear and torment that seek to oppress them, for *"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB).
Father, we pray for supernatural strength and comfort to flood their soul. Remind them that they are *not* defined by their struggles, but by Your love and redemption. Heal their mind, Lord, and restore their joy. If there are any strongholds of fear or lies they have believed, we ask that You would expose them and replace them with Your truth. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is their Comforter and Counselor.
We also pray for wisdom, Lord. If there are practical steps they need to take—whether through medical help, counseling, or lifestyle changes—guide them and provide the resources they need. Surround them with Your people who will uplift them and point them to You.
Most of all, Father, draw them closer to You. Let them experience Your presence in a way they never have before. May they find their refuge in You alone, for *"The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower"* (Psalm 18:2, WEB).
We declare freedom and victory over this battle in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. May they walk in the confidence that *"the Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace"* (Exodus 14:14, WEB). We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness, and we trust You to bring them through this storm stronger and more rooted in You.
In Jesus’ precious and holy name, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is your strength, and He will not let you be overwhelmed. Keep your eyes on Him, and take one day at a time. We are praying for you and believe that God is at work, even now. *"The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him"* (Lamentations 3:25, WEB). You are loved, and you are not forgotten.
