I am done trying

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I have prayed and I have fasted, but God has ignored me. I can not fight this battle anymore. Is this i am going through not enough? Lord, why can't you take my life. It is better for me to die than to live. I have no strength left, there is no hope left for my future. I am cursed and unworthy of life. I wish I hadn't been born. My life is a total failure. I hate myself, i hate creation. This world is too painful. I was able to try another substance. I am anxious to go. I won't have to worry about this the pains, the cold, the stomach or even tomorrow. Rather pray that I leave soon. I am done trying.

We hear the depths of your despair, and our hearts ache with you. The pain you are carrying is heavy, and the weight of hopelessness can feel unbearable. But we want you to know this: you are not cursed, you are not unworthy, and your life is not a failure. The enemy wants you to believe these lies, but they are not from God. The Word tells us, *"The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly"* (John 10:10 WEB). Jesus did not come to condemn you but to save you, to heal you, and to give you hope.

You say you have prayed and fasted, yet God feels silent. But His silence does not mean absence. The psalmist cried out, *"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?"* (Psalm 22:1 WEB). Even in his darkest moment, David clung to God, and God heard him. You may not feel His presence, but He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18 WEB). He collects every tear you’ve shed (Psalm 56:8 WEB), and He sees the pain you cannot put into words.

You speak of death as an escape, but we must rebuke that lie in the name of Jesus. Your life is precious to God. He knit you together in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-16 WEB), and He has a purpose for you that the enemy wants to steal. The apostle Paul once said, *"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain"* (Philippians 1:21 WEB), but he also chose to endure suffering for the sake of others. Your life matters—not just to God, but to those who love you, even if you cannot see it right now.

You mention turning to substances for relief, but we must warn you: that path only leads to deeper bondage. Jesus said, *"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed"* (Luke 4:18 WEB). True freedom is found in Him, not in temporary escapes. We pray that you would turn away from anything that numbs the pain but does not heal it.

We also must address the absence of Jesus’ name in your cry for help. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you do not know Him as your Savior, we urge you to call out to Him now. *"For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13 WEB). Salvation is not earned by works or suffering—it is a gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB). If you have never surrendered your life to Him, we plead with you to do so today.

And to the pain, the despair, the hopelessness—we rebuke you in Jesus’ name. We command every spirit of death, suicide, and self-hatred to leave you now. We declare that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We speak life over you, restoration over your mind, and hope over your future.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is in deep despair. Lord, You are close to the brokenhearted, and You save those who are crushed in spirit. We ask that You would break through the darkness and reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way. Remind them that their life has value, that You have a plan for them, and that You are working even when they cannot see it.

Father, we rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells them they are worthless, that their pain will never end, or that death is the only escape. We declare that You are the God of hope, and in You, there is always a future. Heal their mind, Lord. Restore their soul. Replace their despair with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We pray against any temptation to turn to substances or other destructive behaviors. Break every chain of addiction, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Give them the strength to resist the enemy’s schemes and to cling to You instead.

If they do not know You as Savior, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. Let them hear Your voice calling them by name. Save them, Lord. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus, and give them a new heart and a new spirit.

Surround them with Your love, Father. Send people into their life who will speak truth, offer comfort, and walk with them through this valley. Remind them that they are not alone—You are with them, and we are standing in the gap for them.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name that brings salvation, healing, and deliverance. Amen.

Do not give up. The night may feel endless, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5 WEB). You are not forgotten. You are loved. And your story is not over. Please reach out to someone you trust—let them walk with you through this. You do not have to carry this burden alone. God is fighting for you, even when you cannot see it. Hold on.

We hear your pain, dear friend, and it breaks our hearts. We want you to know that we're here for you, praying with you, believing in you, and loving you through this storm. We understand that the weight of despair can feel overwhelming, but remember, God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). He sees you, He feels your pain, and He's walking through this with you.

We know it's hard to feel God's presence right now, but He's there. He's not ignoring you; He's working in you, even when you can't see it. Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life" (John 8:12). Hold on to that promise. Keep walking towards Him, one step at a time.

We also want to remind you that your life has purpose. You matter to God, and you matter to us. Your struggles don't define you; they refine you. They make you stronger, more resilient, and more compassionate. You're not alone in this fight. We're in your corner, cheering you on, and praying for you.

Let's keep praying together, shall we? Let's ask God to reveal Himself to you in a tangible way, to heal your mind, restore your soul, and fill you with His peace. Let's ask Him to break every chain of addiction and give you the strength to resist the enemy's schemes. And if you don't know Jesus as your Savior, let's ask Him to draw you to Himself, to save you, and to give you a new heart and a new spirit.

Please, don't give up. Reach out to someone you trust. Let them walk with you through this valley. You don't have to carry this burden alone. God is fighting for you, even when you can't see it. Hold on, dear friend. The night may feel endless, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your pain to the throne of grace these past days. Your words broke our hearts, and we have wept and interceded on your behalf, asking the Lord to wrap His arms around you in ways you can feel. We prayed that the Holy Spirit would minister to your spirit, reminding you of your infinite worth in Christ and the hope that is found only in Him—even when it feels hidden from your sight.

We stand with you in agreement that the battle is too heavy to fight alone. We asked God to send people into your life who can lift your arms when you cannot lift them yourself, to provide shelter from the cold, and to fill your stomach with both physical and spiritual nourishment. We pleaded for His peace to guard your heart and mind, and for His light to pierce the darkness that tells you your life is without value or purpose.

If in these days, the Lord has answered in any way—whether through a word of encouragement, a moment of unexpected peace, or a hand reaching out to help—we ask you to share it with us so we can rejoice together. If, however, the weight still feels unbearable and the night still feels endless, we urge you not to walk away. Please post your request again. Let us continue to stand with you, to pray without ceasing, and to remind you that you are not forgotten—by us or by God.

You are not cursed. You are not unworthy. You are deeply loved, and your life matters more than you may realize. Even in your despair, Jesus sees you, knows you, and is near to the brokenhearted. We will keep praying for your healing, for your deliverance, and for the Lord to reveal Himself to you in ways that leave no doubt of His presence and His love.

May the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort meet you in your deepest need. May He strengthen you with power through His Spirit, so that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith. And may you, being rooted and established in love, grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ—though it surpasses knowledge. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
