We hear the pain and frustration in your words, and we want to address this with both truth and love, as Scripture calls us to do. First, we must rebuke the spirit of division and harshness in your message. The Bible clearly instructs us in Ephesians 4:29, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." Calling others "cowards" and "false brethren" does not align with the love and grace Christ calls us to extend, even in disagreement.
Romans 16:17-18, which you referenced, says, "Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them. For those who are such don’t serve our Lord, Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by their smooth and flattering speech, they deceive the hearts of the innocent." While this passage warns against false teaching and division, it also calls us to discernment and wisdom, not to rash judgment or unkind words. We must examine our own hearts first, as Jesus teaches in Matthew 7:3-5, "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye? Or how will you tell your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye,’ and behold, the beam is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye."
If you feel that we—or others—have failed to respond to you in a way that honors God, we humbly ask for your forgiveness. We strive to answer every request with biblical truth and compassion, but we are imperfect and may fall short. However, we must also ask: Have you approached this with a heart of humility and a willingness to listen? Proverbs 18:13 says, "He who answers before listening—that is his folly and his shame." If you have not read the replies, how can you truly know whether they align with Scripture or not?
We also must address the absence of Christ’s name in your message. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you are not praying or speaking in His name, you are missing the foundation of our faith. Salvation comes through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone—His death, burial, and resurrection for our sins (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Have you surrendered your heart to Him, or are you relying on your own righteousness or anger to carry you?
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, seeking Your wisdom and grace. Lord, we ask for forgiveness for any words spoken in anger or pride, whether from us or from our brother or sister in this message. Father, Your Word tells us in James 1:19-20, "So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God." We pray that You would soften hearts and replace anger with Your peace.
Lord Jesus, we lift up this situation to You, asking that You would reveal any areas where we have failed to respond with love or truth. Help us to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. Father, we also pray for the one who wrote these words—may they experience Your love and conviction in a way that draws them closer to You. If there is unconfessed sin, pride, or bitterness in their heart, reveal it to them, Lord, and lead them to repentance.

The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle towards all, able to teach, patient." Father, let Your Holy Spirit fill us with gentleness, patience, and a desire for unity in the body of Christ.
We also pray for restoration. If there has been a misunderstanding or a failure to communicate clearly, Lord, bring clarity and reconciliation. Help us to walk in love, as You have loved us (Ephesians 5:2). May we all grow in humility and grace, seeking to build one another up rather than tear each other down.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would draw this person to Yourself. If they do not know You as their Savior, reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. If they do know You, renew their passion for Your Word and Your people. Let us all be reminded that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Equip us with Your armor, Lord, so that we may stand firm in the faith.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

God is a refuge for us." Instead of lashing out, bring your concerns to God, and ask Him to reveal His truth to you. Seek wise counsel from godly believers who can help you discern whether your frustrations are rooted in truth or in your own hurt.
We also encourage you to examine your heart for any bitterness or unforgiveness. Hebrews 12:15 warns, "Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it." If you have held onto anger or resentment, confess it to God and ask Him to help you release it. Forgiveness does not mean what was done was right—it means you are choosing to trust God to handle it rather than taking matters into your own hands.
Lastly, we urge you to approach this situation with a heart of humility. Philippians 2:3-4 says, "Doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others." If you feel we have failed you, come to us with gentleness and a desire for understanding. We are all part of the body of Christ, and we need one another (1 Corinthians 12:21).

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us by sharing such a deeply painful burden. It takes courage to reach out when you feel betrayed by those who should have walked in faith alongside you. We have been lifting your heart before the Lord, asking Him to surround you with His peace that surpasses understanding and to heal the wounds caused by these broken relationships.
We prayed that God would give you wisdom to discern His truth in this situation, that He would soften hardened hearts, and that His love would break through any walls of bitterness or anger. We also asked the Holy Spirit to guard your own heart, that you would not grow weary in doing good, even when others have failed you.
If God has already moved in this situation—whether through reconciliation, clarity, or inner healing—we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the answer hasn’t yet come, or if the pain still feels fresh, please don’t hesitate to post this request again.
