Beloved of All
I am carrying a deep hurt and facing a problem in my relationship with my brother, ###. My desire is to forgive and for the relationship to be restored. He is perhaps the most difficult person, and this the most challenging relationship, I have ever known. Yet, this broken relationship and the hurt in my heart stand as a barrier to drawing closer to God. Let us pray that God helps me to truly forgive completely—freeing me from hurt and negative thoughts—so that my heart may be pure and at peace, in the name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God grants me wisdom and intervenes to resolve this issue, aligning the relationship with His will, in the name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God heals my heart and soul and protects me from further hurt, in the name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God accomplishes His work in my brother ###, so that he may become more spiritually mature, more obedient to God, more loving, and more compassionate, in the name of Jesus Christ! Thank you... God bless you!

We hear the deep hurt you are carrying in your heart over this broken relationship with your brother and we join you in bringing it before the Lord, for we know how heavy such a burden can feel when it stands as a barrier to drawing closer to God. Your desire to forgive completely and to see this relationship restored and aligned with His will is pleasing to Him, and we commend you for seeking purity and peace rather than bitterness.

The Word calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven, even when the other person is difficult and the relationship is challenging. For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses Matthew 6:14-15. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. Bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do Colossians 3:13. Forgiveness does not mean the hurt was not real or that boundaries are not needed, but it releases your heart from the poison of resentment and negative thoughts so that you may be healed.

We also hear your wisdom in recognizing that you cannot do this in your own strength. True forgiveness and a pure heart are a work of God in us. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God Matthew 5:8. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. And we are promised that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7 when we bring our anxieties to Him.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our only mediator and hope, and we lift up our dear brother and sister in Christ who is hurting deeply. Lord, we ask You to pour out Your grace to help them truly forgive completely, not in mere words but from the depths of the heart, freeing them from hurt and from every negative thought that weighs down the soul. Create in them a pure heart and renew a right spirit within them, and let Your perfect peace reign where pain has lived. Heal their heart and soul, Lord, and protect them from further hurt, guarding them from becoming hardened or cynical while You continue Your work.

Grant them wisdom beyond their own understanding, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. Show them how to walk in love and truth with their brother, to speak with grace and to act with godly boundaries. We ask that You intervene in this relationship according to Your will, for we know that if it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. Do what only You can do to bring reconciliation where it honors You, and give them strength to love and to release the outcome into Your hands.

We also lift up their brother to You. Accomplish Your good work in him, Lord, that he may grow in spiritual maturity, in obedience to You, in love and in compassion. Soften what is hard, convict where needed, and draw him closer to Yourself. We trust that You are able to work in both hearts, for with God all things are possible Matthew 19:26.

We thank You that You draw near to those who draw near to You, and that even this painful trial can become a pathway to deeper intimacy with You as we trust You with all our heart and do not lean on our own understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge You and You will direct our paths Proverbs 3:5-6. Keep our friend steadfast in prayer, rooted in Your Word, and confident that You see every tear and will redeem this hurt for good in Your time. In the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to abide in Christ daily, to bring every thought captive to His truth, and to not grow weary in doing good. Even if restoration is slow or your brother remains difficult for a season, your obedience in forgiving and your pursuit of peace will keep your heart pure before God and open the way for His healing and guidance to flow more freely in your life.

We are holding your hurt before the Lord with you. Caring deeply for your brother while finding him the most difficult relationship you have known is a heavy place to live, and we understand why the ache and the unwanted thoughts would make drawing close to God feel harder.

What you described about wanting to forgive completely but still feeling hurt is very common. In counseling we often talk about forgiveness having two parts that move at different speeds. There is the decision itself, a quiet choice to release the debt and to let go of holding onto revenge or avoidance. And then there is the slower emotional healing, where resentment and fear are gradually softened and replaced by peace. That second part usually takes time and does not happen all at once, even after the decision is sincere. Forgiveness also does not mean pretending the wound did not matter, and it is not the same as reconciliation, which involves rebuilding trust together when both are able.

When those painful thoughts surface again, it can help to pause for a moment, name honestly before God what you are feeling, and quietly reaffirm the decision you have already made to place this person and this hurt in His hands, giving Him room to work in both of you over time.

Father, we bring this dear heart to You and ask for Your healing in the deep places that still ache. Grant peace where there has been turmoil, wisdom for each next step with ###, and protection from further hurt. Work in both lives according to Your will and draw each closer to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Father we cast our cares on You cause You care for Us, 1 Pet 5:7-8, in Jesus' Name

Your honest and painful cry has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord who hears all who call upon Him in truth.

We pray that the God with whom there is forgiveness will speak peace to your soul. There is forgiveness with Him, a divine and surprising and complete forgiveness, and as you have been so freely forgiven in Christ, may you be enabled by His grace to forgive even as you have been forgiven. We ask that He will free you from the hurt and from every bitter and negative thought that would lodge in the heart, that He will cleanse and keep your heart pure, and grant you that calm so deep that it is the peace of God which passes all understanding. May your mind be stayed upon Him, trusting in Him, and so kept in perfect peace, even while sorrows press round.

We pray that the Lord will heal your heart and soul. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ has healing virtue. May His healing flow to the wounded places within you, and may He be your protector and keeper, guarding you from further hurt and giving you wisdom to walk in a manner that pleases Him.

We pray for wisdom for you in this most difficult relationship, that God will intervene and resolve what you cannot resolve in your own strength, aligning all things with His holy will. Grant light to see the right path, grace to speak and act in love, and patience to wait upon the Lord's timing.

We also lift your brother before the Lord, asking that God will accomplish His good work in him, making him more spiritually mature, more obedient to the Word, more loving and more compassionate, that he may walk humbly with God and show the fruit of a renewed heart. We pray that if reconciliation is according to the Lord's will, He will open the way for restoration, and that in all things His name will be glorified in both your lives.

We ask this not because we are worthy, but because there is forgiveness and healing and peace through the blood of Jesus Christ, who died the Just for the unjust to bring us to God. May you believe the forgiveness of sins for yourself and go your way in peace, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your desire to forgive and to see this relationship restored is itself pleasing to God, and He sees the deep hurt you carry and the barrier it has become in your heart as you seek to draw closer to Him.

I join you in prayer before our Lord Jesus Christ, who reconciled us to God through His own blood on the cross, making peace where there was enmity.

Let us pray that God will grant you grace to forgive completely, not in your own strength but by His mercy, so that you may be freed from hurt and from negative thoughts, and that your heart may be made pure and kept in His peace. For the peacemakers are called sons of God, and where peace dwells, love can grow and the whole soul is kept in health.

Let us pray that God will give you wisdom in every word and action toward your brother, and that He will intervene in this difficult relationship according to His good will, guiding it toward what is right and holy and healing what has been broken.

Let us pray that the Lord will heal your heart and soul, wash away what has wounded you, and guard you from further hurt, so that no bitterness takes root but you may live in gentleness and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Let us pray also for your brother, that God will accomplish His work in him, leading him to greater spiritual maturity, to obedience, and to a more loving and compassionate heart, that he may walk more faithfully with Christ.

May the God of all peace, who through Christ has reconciled us to Himself, keep you, strengthen you to forgive as you have been forgiven, and draw you ever nearer to Him. In the name of Jesus Christ we ask these things. Amen.
