I am asking you to pray for my friend, Tinnis, who, as a nurse, gives herself totally and abundantly to the welfare of her patients, conducting herself with exceptional grace, displaying a contagious positive attitude, and exhibiting a wonderful sense of humor. She has a daughter in whose life she invests all her maternal love, guidance, and nurture.
At night, during the empty and lonely hours, she pays dearly for selflessly giving herself to others: then she suffers from a disease bringing unimaginable agonies of body and mind; the demons of her disease unceasingly abuse her at their pleasure. When the demons have done their nightly work, she arises from little sleep to be a nurse and a mother again, untarnished by what she must endure, a woman of boundless courage and an indomitable spirit. But because of this illness, she has little life beyond work and her daughter
