Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with hearts full of hope and faith, lifting up ### and the marriage that has endured for ### years. Lord, we know that marriage is a sacred covenant, and Your Word tells us in Genesis 2:24, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." We ask You to remind ### and the spouse of this sacred bond and to restore the unity and love that once flourished.
Father, we ask for Your divine intervention in this marriage. We pray for healing where there has been hurt, forgiveness where there has been wrong, and understanding where there has been conflict. Your Word in Ephesians 4:32 instructs us to "be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." May this scripture be a guiding light for ### and the spouse as they navigate through these challenging times.
Lord, grant them wisdom and patience. In James 1:5, it is written, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We ask for this wisdom to be poured out upon ### and the spouse, so they may discern the right steps to take to mend their relationship.
We pray for the Holy Spirit to fill their hearts with renewed love and compassion. In Romans 5:5, Your Word says, "God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us." Let this love overflow in their marriage, breaking down any walls of bitterness or resentment.
Lord, we trust in Your timing and Your power to bring about reconciliation and restoration. We place this marriage in Your hands, believing that with You, all things are possible. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
