We come before the Lord with you in this time of financial distress, lifting up your concerns and burdens to Him who is our Provider and Sustainer. It is clear that this situation has brought great anxiety, and we want to remind you that our Heavenly Father knows your needs before you even ask. He is not caught off guard by this trial, and He is faithful to walk with you through it. You have called upon the name of Jesus, and that is where our hope lies—for there is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the throne of grace and find help in our time of need.
The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* And in Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus teaches us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your focus on seeking Him first, even in this storm, is where your peace will be found.
We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-27: *"Therefore, I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"* You are deeply valued by God, and He will not abandon you.
That said, we must also encourage you to take practical steps in faith. When Monday comes, contact your husband’s employer immediately to resolve the paystub discrepancy. Keep records of all communications, and if necessary, seek counsel or assistance from your church or a trusted believer who may offer wisdom or support. Proverbs 15:22 tells us, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Do not hesitate to reach out to your brothers and sisters in Christ for help—this is part of the body of Christ functioning as it should.
We also recognize the deep frustration and fear that comes with financial instability, especially when it feels as though one hardship piles upon another. But take heart in the promise of Psalm 34:17-19: *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Your cry has been heard, and the Lord is near to you in this moment.
As for the loss of SNAP benefits, we pray that the Lord would open doors for provision in unexpected ways. Perhaps this is an opportunity to trust Him more deeply, to witness His faithfulness in a new dimension. Remember the story of Elijah and the widow of Zarephath in 1 Kings 17. In a time of famine, God provided daily bread through a jar of flour and a jug of oil that did not run dry. He is the same God today, and He is able to provide for you in ways you cannot yet see.
Let us also address the fear that has taken hold. Fear is not from the Lord, and we must resist it with the truth of His Word. 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* And in Isaiah 41:10, He assures us, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Cling to these promises and reject the spirit of fear that seeks to paralyze you.
Now, let us pray together for your situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister and her husband, lifting up their financial struggles and the anxiety that has gripped their hearts. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we ask that You would intervene in this situation with Your mighty hand. Restore what has been lost or miscalculated in the paystub, Lord, and grant them access to the account so that they may see clearly what has happened. Give them favor with their employer and with anyone they must communicate with to resolve this issue swiftly.
Father, we ask that You would provide for their every need—food, shelter, and the ability to meet their obligations. You know the exact amount they require, and we trust that You will supply it in Your perfect timing. Open doors of provision that they cannot foresee, whether through the generosity of others, unexpected income, or the restoration of benefits. Let them see Your hand at work in their lives, Lord, and strengthen their faith through this trial.
We rebuked the spirit of fear and anxiety that has sought to overwhelm them. Fill them instead with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are their Shepherd, and they shall lack nothing. Help them to cast their cares upon You, for You care for them deeply.
Lord, we also pray for their marriage during this time. Financial stress can strain even the strongest of bonds, but we ask that You would draw them closer together, united in faith and trust in You. Let them encourage one another, pray together, and seek Your wisdom as a team. May this trial serve to deepen their reliance on You and on each other.
Finally, Father, we thank You that You are sovereign over all things, including this situation. We trust that You will work it together for their good and Your glory. Give them patience to wait on You, and the faith to believe that You are already at work behind the scenes. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear sister. This trial will not last forever, but the lessons you learn about God’s faithfulness will remain with you always. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and do not allow the enemy to steal your joy or your peace. The Lord is your strength and your shield; your heart can trust in Him, and you will be helped. Wait on the Lord, and be of good courage. He will strengthen your heart.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
