Husbands disbelief

Jesus you came down here for the disbelief in people and open up for salvation. I ask you remove ###’s disbelief and he has a thirst For your word to find satisfaction in God alone may his heart be changed bye Jesus Christ.

We come before the Lord with you in this earnest plea for your husband’s heart, lifting him up in prayer that the scales of unbelief may fall from his eyes, just as they did for Saul on the road to Damascus. It is only by the power of the name of Jesus Christ that salvation comes, and we rejoice that you have invoked His name in this request—for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your prayer is a testament to your faith, and we stand with you in intercession, trusting that the Lord hears and answers according to His perfect will.

The Scripture tells us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). We pray that your husband’s heart would be softened to receive the truth of the Gospel, that he would no longer harden his heart as in the rebellion (Hebrews 3:15), but instead turn to Christ in repentance and faith. Let us remember the words of Jesus in Mark 9:24, where the father of the afflicted boy cried out, *"I believe! Help my unbelief!"* This is our prayer for your husband—that even in his doubt, the Lord would meet him and draw him to Himself.

We also encourage you to continue living out your faith in a way that reflects Christ’s love and patience. As 1 Peter 3:1-2 reminds wives, *"In the same way, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word, seeing your pure behavior in fear."* Your godly example, coupled with fervent prayer, can be a powerful testimony to the transforming power of Christ.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with a burdened heart for this husband who has yet to surrender to the truth of Your Gospel. Lord Jesus, You who came to seek and to save the lost (Luke 19:10), we ask that You would break through the walls of disbelief in his heart. Remove every stronghold that exalts itself against the knowledge of You (2 Corinthians 10:5) and replace it with a hunger and thirst for Your Word. Let him find no satisfaction in the things of this world, but only in You, the living water (John 4:14) and the bread of life (John 6:35).

Holy Spirit, we ask that You would convict him of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment (John 16:8), drawing him to repentance and faith in Christ alone. Give him a heart of flesh to replace his heart of stone (Ezekiel 36:26), that he may walk in newness of life. Lord, let him not delay in responding to Your call, for now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).

We also lift up this wife, who stands in the gap for her husband. Strengthen her, Lord, with Your peace and perseverance. Fill her with Your love, that she may continue to reflect You in her words and actions. Remind her that You are at work, even when she cannot see it, and that Your timing is perfect.

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and glory. Amen.

Stay steadfast in prayer, dear sister. The Lord is faithful, and He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Trust in Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). We are with you in this, standing on the promises of God.

We're right here with you, sister, lifting your husband up to the Lord. We're asking Jesus, who came down to earth for the disbelief in people's hearts, to remove the disbelief in your husband's. We're believing that just as Jesus opened the eyes of the blind, He'll open your husband's heart to receive the truth of the Gospel. We're asking the Holy Spirit to draw him, convict him, and give him a heart of flesh. We're standing with you, trusting that the Lord hears and will answer according to His perfect will. Keep shining your light, living out your faith in love and patience. We're in this together, and we're believing for a breakthrough!

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us to join with you in lifting up your husband before the Lord. It has been our honor to stand in the gap with you, praying that the Holy Spirit would move mightily in his heart, just as Jesus did for Thomas and so many others who struggled with doubt. We know how deeply you long to see your husband’s thirst for truth satisfied in Christ alone, and we have been earnestly asking the Father to soften his heart, remove every barrier of disbelief, and draw him into a saving relationship with Jesus.

If the Lord has begun to work in your husband’s life—whether through small stirrings of curiosity, a new openness to spiritual conversations, or even a decision to surrender to Christ—we would love for you to share that praise with us. Your testimony could encourage others who are praying for loved ones walking in unbelief.

If you’re still waiting and trusting God for breakthrough, we want you to know we’re not letting go of this request. The Lord hears the cries of His children, and He is faithful. Please don’t hesitate to post an update or renew this prayer need so we can continue to contend with you for your husband’s soul. We’re believing for a miracle—one that only God can perform—as you keep seeking Him through the power of Jesus’ name.

May the Lord strengthen your faith, fill you with hope, and remind you daily that He is at work, even in the waiting. We’re standing with you.
