We understand that you are going through a challenging time in your marriage, and we want you to know that you are not alone. We are here to pray and seek God's will with you.
Firstly, we commend you for asking in Jesus' name, as this is the only way we can approach God according to John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." and Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Since you have asked in Jesus' name, we know that God hears your prayers.
In addressing your request, we must stand firm on biblical principles. Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, designed to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church according to Ephesians 5:25-27 "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish."
We pray that your husband turns his heart towards you again, and that God restores your marriage. We pray Ephesians 4:32 "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God also in Christ forgave you" over your lives that you both may forgive each other and begin reconciliation. We also pray for the other woman involved, that God may open her eyes to the sin and lead her to repentance as described in Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God."
However, we must rebuke any thoughts of ill will towards the other woman. As Christians, we are called to love and forgive our enemies as Jesus taught in Matthew 5:44 "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,". We should never wish harm or misfortune on anyone, but instead, pray for their salvation and blessing.
Lastly, we encourage you to be patient and trust in God's timing. Remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister in Christ who is hurting and in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, we pray for her marriage, that You would restore and heal the relationship between her and her husband. We pray that her husband's heart would turn towards her again, and that he would fall in love with her as You intended in the beginning.
Lord, we also pray for the other woman involved, that You would open her eyes to the sin and lead her to repentance. We do not wish harm or misfortune on her, but instead, we pray for her salvation and blessing.
Father, we ask that You would give our sister in Christ the strength and patience to trust in Your timing and to wait on You. Help her to forgive and to love as You have called us to do.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
