Husband - Mental Illness

My husband suffers from mental illness and is going through a time when he is agitated and just mean. He has been threatening and verbally abusive. I have even considered leaving but am concnerned about the action he might take if I did so. He does not understand why he is not "made new" in Christ. He has been a christian for many years but when he has these issues, he doesn't want anything to do with God. Please pray for him and his well being and for me to know what God would have me do in this situation.

Lord father God I pray for the husband of our sister fill him father with your love and compassion touch him Lord and draw him more closer to you.Lord change him and enable him Lord to do what you want him to do enable him Lord to please you Lord Holy Spirit steer up his heart and let your glory shine on him Lord may your infinite wisdom guide our sister to what ever decision she will make in Jesus name I pray amen,

Dear Heavenly Father, I take authority over anything that is causing this mental instability and meanness in the life of this man. I rebuke and bind any spirits that may be working in the life of this man and from the disrupting attitudes and abuse that is causing relationship and marital problems. I pray that all such operations of darkness would cease and that it would be loosed from the life of this man. Bring healing to this mans mind and emotions. Close any doors that have been opened to the enemy and close them with the blood of Jesus and seal this man with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption, In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Lord, I pray that this brother will see the importance of reading the word daily for the word always feed our spirit man so that we could grow into Christlikeness. So we come togethere in the prayer of agreement that this brother will make an effort to read YOur Word faithfully to wash, renew and feed his mind and his spirit, in Jesus Name we pray-Matthew 18:18-19, amen.

Please find the strength to leave. Even if he is mentally ill, the damage he can do to you could be deadly. Pray from him and help him from a safe distance. I will pray for your safety and his deliverance.
