We hear the deep pain and turmoil in your heart, sister, and we stand with you before the throne of grace to intercede for your marriage, your children, and your family. The betrayal and brokenness you describe are not part of God’s design for marriage, which He established as a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, a lifelong commitment of love, faithfulness, and sacrifice (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). The presence of a third party in your marriage is a violation of this covenant, and it grieves the heart of God, who hates divorce but also hates the treachery that leads to it (Malachi 2:16).

First, we must rebuke the spirit of adultery and deception that has taken root in your husband’s heart. The Word of God is clear: "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). The relationship your husband is pursuing outside of your marriage is sin, and it is not only destroying your family but also separating him from the will of God. We must also address the third party directly in prayer, for she is participating in this sin and causing harm to your home. We declare in the name of Jesus that her influence over your husband will be broken, and that the Holy Spirit will convict both of them of their wrongdoing.

Sister, we want to gently but firmly remind you that divorce is not the solution God desires for your marriage. Jesus said, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate" (Matthew 19:6 WEB). While the pain you are experiencing is real and valid, we encourage you to fight for your marriage with the weapons of prayer, forgiveness, and godly counsel. This does not mean you should tolerate abuse or unrepentant sin, but it does mean that you should seek restoration if there is any possibility of repentance and change. Have you and your husband sought biblical counseling together? Have you involved your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor to help guide you through this storm?

We also lift up your children, who are innocent victims in this situation. They need the stability and love of both parents, and we pray that God will shield their hearts from the trauma of this conflict. May they see the love of Christ in you, even in the midst of your pain, and may they grow in faith and resilience as you point them to Jesus.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this sister and her family. Lord, You see the pain, the betrayal, and the brokenness in their home. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, breaking the chains of adultery and deception that have taken hold. We rebuke the spirit of infidelity in the name of Jesus and command it to leave this marriage. Father, soften the heart of this sister’s husband. Convict him of his sin and draw him back to You and to his family. Let him see the destruction his choices are causing and give him the strength to repent and turn away from this third party.

Lord, we also pray for the woman involved. Expose her motives, Lord, and let her see the harm she is causing. Break any hold she has over this marriage and remove her from their lives. Father, we ask that You would heal the wounds in this sister’s heart. Give her the strength to forgive, even as You have forgiven her, and the wisdom to know how to respond in a way that honors You. Protect her children, Lord, and surround them with Your peace and love.

We declare that this marriage is not beyond Your healing power. You are the God who restores what is broken and makes all things new. We ask that You would rebuild trust, renew love, and bring reconciliation to this family. If there is any hope for restoration, Lord, make it clear. If not, give this sister the courage to walk in Your will, whatever that may be. Above all, we pray that Your name would be glorified in this situation, and that this family would come to know You more deeply through this trial.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Sister, we want to encourage you to cling to God’s promises during this time. Psalm 34:18-19 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." You are not alone in this battle. Lean on your church family, seek godly counsel, and continue to pray fervently for your husband’s repentance. If he refuses to turn from this sin, you may need to consider what steps to take to protect yourself and your children, but we urge you to do so with prayer and wisdom, not in haste or bitterness.

Finally, we want to remind you that your worth and identity are found in Christ alone. Your husband’s choices do not define you, and God sees your pain and your faithfulness. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep your eyes on Jesus, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender this situation fully to Him and ask Him to guide your steps. You are loved, you are seen, and you are not forgotten.

Sister, thank you for sharing this heavy burden with us. The pain of watching your husband pursue someone else for ten long years, and the chaos it brings to your home and your children’s lives, is more than anyone should have to carry alone. Please know we hear the exhaustion and heartbreak in your words, and we hold you before the Lord today.

When a marriage has been wounded this deeply, it’s natural to feel trapped between a desire for peace and the crushing weight of decisions that affect everyone you love. We won’t pretend there’s a quick fix, but we gently encourage you to not walk through this by yourself. A wise next step is to seek out a pastor or a mature Christian counselor, someone who can sit with you face-to-face, help you untangle the confusion, and give you a steady place to land while you sort through what is truly manageable right now. You don’t have to figure out divorce, forgiveness, or the future all at once. Sometimes the first path toward healing is simply letting another person help steady you, so your children also can feel more secure.

We are praying specifically that the Lord would remove the influence of this other woman from your husband’s life, and that He would protect your heart and your children’s hearts from further harm. We also pray for a clear, calm mind for you, so that whatever decisions come, you will not act purely out of panic or spite but out of a growing sense of God’s steady guidance.

Please hold on to this: your pain is not hidden from Him. He sees every tear, and He cares about the safety and dignity of you and your children.

Let’s pray now.
Father, in Jesus’ name we lift up this precious sister. You know the weariness and the fear that have lived in her home for so long. Bring her a trustworthy counselor or pastor who will listen well and help her find her footing. Shut the door on this third party and create a disruption in that relationship so it can no longer harm this family. Guard the children’s spirits, and give this wife courage and wisdom she doesn’t have in herself. Surround her with people who will carry this burden alongside her and not let her fall. We trust You to move in the chaos and bring something stable and life-giving out of it. Amen.

Suffering that comes upon you because you cling to righteousness, because you honor the marriage covenant even when it is betrayed, is suffering with Christ. Let no one mistake mere trouble for fellowship in His sufferings. When Miriam spoke against Moses, the leprosy came upon her for her sin; but when a wife is afflicted by a husband's wandering heart, and she endures with patience, refusing to return evil for evil, her sorrow draws near to that of the Lamb who was silent before His shearers. This trial of yours is grievous and sharp, yet mark this: it is the suffering outside the camp that proves you to be a believer. It is not the putting away that honors God, but the patient endurance that cries out to Him alone for deliverance.

Your heavenly Husband knows what it is to be forsaken, to be wounded in the house of His friends. He loved His own, and they fled from Him. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. Yet He never puts away His erring bride. He hates divorce. He is still married unto you, and that bond is not dissolved by our fickle hearts. Look now to Him who has borne such contradiction of sinners against Himself, and find in His sympathy a strength beyond your own. He has suffered, being tempted, and He is able to succor them that are tempted. That word succor carries the cry of one in distress. Pour out that cry before Him who was made perfect through suffering.

This is an hour of crisis for your household. The devil seeks to drive you to a rash severing of what God has joined together. But consider how Christ bears with us, how He restores, how He heals. Has He not been a faithful Husband to you in all your own wanderings? Now He waits to show Himself strong on behalf of one who looks to Him. Let this third party be cast not merely from your husband's presence, but from his heart; and this can only come if the Spirit of God convicts him of the grievous sin that lies at his door. Pray not only for removal of the outward trouble, but for the inward renewal of your husband's soul. The sin he commits is first against God before it touches you; let that order be clear in your intercessions.

Yet I would also speak tenderly to you. The man who has seen affliction, when blessed of God, gains the disposition to cheer the afflicted. Your Lord means to make of you a means of consolation to others. This bitter schooling will not be wasted if you learn to cast yourself upon Christ alone, to find in Him all that a human husband has failed to provide. He covers your shame, He provides for your children, He communes with you in the night watches. Settle it in your mind that the marriage which matters most is the one between your soul and its Maker. That covenant cannot be broken by any third party, by any earthly unfaithfulness.

Do not move hastily toward the law's severing. If separation comes for a season for the safety of your soul and children, let it be with tears and prayers, not with vengeance or finality. Keep the door open for repentance as long as hope remains. The Lord tore, but He will heal. He smote, but He will bind up. On the third day, He will raise you up. Trust your case entirely to the Advocate who pleads for the guilty and gives them space for repentance. He sees the travail of your soul; He saw the travail of His own Son's soul, and from that suffering came redemption. Your present sorrow, laid at His feet, can yet bring forth a harvest of peace and righteousness. Hold fast to Him. We join our prayers with yours, that the God of all comfort will make this crooked place straight and cause the light of His countenance to shine once more upon your household.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You are enduring a great trial, and the enemy of your souls is waging war precisely where nature itself should make for peace. For the devil does not fight against strangers, but against his own kindred; he assaults the household, the marriage bed, the children, seeking to make a ruin of what God has joined. Yet do not imagine yourself helpless in this storm. The very fact that you have cried out for prayer shows that the seed of faith is still alive in you, even if the harvest seems far off.

Do not be quick to speak of divorce as a solution. The law of men might permit it for hardness of heart, but the law of God searches the heart first. Before any judgment is made, one must hear carefully, know what is intended, and examine the root, not only the branches. Your husband has fallen, but he is not yet beyond the medicine of repentance. Many who have seemed deaf through ten reproofs have been converted by the eleventh. A tree may bear many strokes without falling, yet one final blow, combined with all the others, brings it down. Do not cease to apply the healing treatment, both in prayer and in wise, sorrowful words spoken at the right time. The church, like a physician, must not abandon the sick to death.

But take heed to your own tongue as well. In times of anguish, it is easy to become like a gossiping woman, spreading the details of your injury to neighbors and friends, adding lies perhaps without even realizing it. The Pharisee spoke a truth and was condemned for his spirit; how much greater the danger when we broadcast what we do not fully know, or when we do know but use it to destroy reputations rather than to reclaim the straying. Let your speech about this woman be only prayer, not accusation. Let your talk about your husband be lament, not slander.

Consider what you know, not what you have only heard. You know the vows you made before God, the covenant He sealed. Others may tell you that happiness lies in freeing yourself, but you have seen with the eyes of faith the beauty of a love that endures even when it is not returned. That love, the kind Paul describes, is the greatest of all things. If it is absent in your husband’s heart, do not let it be absent in yours. By holding fast to love, you leave no room for the devil to conquer you as well. A quiet, patient spirit may yet win back the one who has strayed, even without many words.

Pray, then, not only for the removal of the third party, but that your husband’s understanding may return. He is acting like a senseless beast, forgetting the honor of his manhood. Yet the One who restored reason to the possessed can also restore him, if you persist in beseeching God. The blind man knew what he had seen, and you too, deep in your soul, know that God’s design for marriage is not a mistake. Stand upon that knowledge. Weep, but do not curse. Mourn, but do not despair. The Lord who sees your pain and the pain of your children will not be slow to act, if you entrust the judgment to Him.

The weight of ten years of betrayal and upheaval is a heavy one, and God sees every tear. You have endured much, and your children have been caught in the crossfire of choices you did not make. The pain of a third party invading your home and your husband’s heart is a deep wound, and it is right to bring it all before the Lord.

You are asking about divorce, and it is not a trivial question. Scripture makes it clear that God’s original design for marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. Jesus pointed back to creation, saying that from the beginning God made them male and female, and what He has joined together, no one should separate. Yet we live in a world marred by sin and hardened hearts. The law of Moses permitted a certificate of divorce because people refused to live up to the divine ideal, and Jesus acknowledged that in His teaching. He declared that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another commits adultery. That exception is significant: your husband’s persistent involvement with another woman falls squarely into the realm of sexual unfaithfulness. While there is no direct command demanding you must divorce, Scripture does not condemn the innocent spouse who releases a marriage broken through unrepentant adultery.

In the Old Testament, when adultery was proven, the guilty party could be put to death under the law, making the living spouse a widow or widower free to remarry. Grace has tempered judgment, but the principle remains that ongoing, unrepentant sin destroys the one-flesh union. Divorce is not an unpardonable sin; it is a painful concession to the hardness of human hearts. It is not God’s best, but He does not abandon those who have been sinned against. If you do walk that path, you are not cut off from His love or His kingdom.

At the same time, you are not alone. The family of God is a living reality. Jesus promised that those who lose family for His sake will gain a hundredfold brothers and sisters, mothers and children in the household of faith. This church is meant to be that kind of refuge. There are older women who can offer maternal wisdom, younger women who will walk beside you as sisters, and brothers who will honor and protect you and your children with all purity. Do not isolate yourself in this storm. Let the body of Christ surround you with practical help, prayer, and steadfast presence.

I will pray with you that the other woman would depart from your husband’s life and that his heart would be turned back to his family. But even more, I pray that you would know the depth of God’s nearness. He is not distant from your pain; He was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. Whether restoration comes or you face the anguish of separation, your security is not in your marital status but in Jesus Christ. Keep loving Him above every other relationship. Keep pouring out your heart to Him. We stand with you.
