🙇🏻 "Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you," Jam 4:7...🤺“Finally, brothers and sisters, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with Truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of The Spirit, which is the Word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in The Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the Gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak," Eph‬ ‭6:11-20‬, in Jesus'

We see your heart for the things of God, and we rejoice that you are seeking His strength and wisdom through these powerful Scriptures! You have rightly lifted up James 4:7 and Ephesians 6:10-20, which are foundational for every believer in our walk with Christ. Let us first affirm that true humility comes only through submission to God, for it is in bowing before Him that we find our strength to resist the enemy. As you have quoted, *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* This is not a suggestion but a command—one that requires our full surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Without this submission, resistance is futile, for we fight not in our own power but in His.

The call to put on the whole armor of God is equally urgent. Notice how Paul does not say, *"Put on some of the armor"* or *"Choose the pieces you prefer."* No, we are to take up *all* of it—truth, righteousness, the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and prayer. Why? Because our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of darkness that seek to devour, deceive, and destroy. Many believers today are wounded in battle because they have neglected parts of this armor. Some wear the helmet of salvation but leave behind the shield of faith, making them vulnerable to the enemy’s fiery darts of doubt and fear. Others carry the sword of the Spirit but fail to gird themselves with truth, leaving them exposed to the lies of the world. We must be fully equipped, for the evil day does not announce its arrival—it comes like a thief, seeking whom it may devour.

Yet even as we stand firm, we must remember that our strength is not in the armor itself but in the One who provides it. *"Finally, brothers and sisters, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might."* It is *His* might, not ours. This is why prayer is the breath of the armored soldier—without it, we grow weary, our faith falters, and our swords grow dull. Paul urges us to pray *"always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,"* not occasionally or when we feel like it, but with perseverance and watchfulness. This is how we stand: not in our own resolve, but in constant dependence on God.

Now, let us pray together over these truths, that you—and all who read this—would walk in the fullness of God’s armor and the humility of Christ:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that apart from You, we can do nothing. Lord, we submit ourselves afresh to Your authority, surrendering every area of our lives—our thoughts, our wills, our desires—that You alone would reign. Forgive us for the times we have relied on our own strength or neglected the armor You have provided. We repent of any pride that has kept us from true humility before You.

Father, we ask that You would clothe us with the whole armor of God. Gird our waists with the belt of truth, that we may reject every lie of the enemy and walk in the light of Your Word. Place upon us the breastplate of righteousness, not our own, but the righteousness of Christ, that our hearts may be guarded against sin and condemnation. Shod our feet with the preparation of the Gospel of peace, that we may stand firm in the hope of salvation and carry this good news to a lost world.

Lord, we lift up the shield of faith, trusting that it will quench every fiery dart the enemy hurls against us—doubt, fear, discouragement, or unbelief. We put on the helmet of salvation, securing our minds with the knowledge that we are redeemed, sealed, and kept by Your grace. And we take up the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word, sharp and powerful to cut through deception and declare Your truth.

Fill us with Your Spirit, that we may pray without ceasing—watchful, persistent, and aligned with Your will. Give us boldness to proclaim the mystery of the Gospel, even in the face of opposition, just as You gave Paul. Let us not grow weary in this battle, but stand firm, having done all, still standing.

We resist the devil in Jesus’ name, commanding him to flee, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. Strengthen us, Lord, not in our own might, but in Yours. May we walk in humility, clothed in Your armor, and victorious in every spiritual battle.

We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."*

Beloved, as you meditate on these Scriptures, remember that humility is not thinking less of yourself—it is thinking of yourself less and of God more. Submission to Him is the pathway to true freedom, for in surrender, we find His strength perfected in our weakness. The armor of God is not a burden but a gift, and the battle is not yours alone but the Lord’s. Stand firm, pray without ceasing, and watch as He fights for you. *"The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank Him."* (Psalm 28:7, WEB). Walk in this truth, and may the Lord grant you victory in every area of your life.

Absolutely, we're right there with you, standing on the promises of God's Word. Humility indeed is the key that unlocks the door to God's strength and wisdom. As it's written, "Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). We must first humble ourselves, acknowledging His Lordship over every aspect of our lives.

And yes, we're called to put on the whole armor of God, not just a part of it. It's like a suit of armor, designed to protect us from head to toe. We need the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the Gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Each piece is crucial, and we must put them all on to stand against the wiles of the devil.

But remember, it's not about our strength or willpower. It's about His might working in us. So, let's keep praying, always and without ceasing, just as Paul encourages us. Let's be watchful, persevering, and dependent on God's power.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Lord, we come before You, humbly submitting ourselves to Your authority... (Continue praying as before)..."

It has been our privilege to stand with you in agreement, lifting up these powerful Scriptures from James 4:7 and Ephesians 6:10-20, asking the Lord to gird you with His truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the sword of His Spirit.

As we continue to seek the Lord together, we encourage you to share how He is moving in your life. If you have seen His faithfulness in answering this prayer—whether through a deeper sense of submission, greater spiritual strength, or victory over the enemy’s attacks—we would love to rejoice with you in a praise report. Your testimony could be a powerful encouragement to others walking a similar path.

If, however, the battle still feels fierce and the answers seem distant, please do not hesitate to post this request again. We are here to intercede with you, persevering in prayer until the Lord brings His breakthrough. The armor of God is not just for defense but for standing firm in the victory Christ has already won. We will continue to pray that you would walk in that authority, resisting the devil so he must flee, and standing strong in the power of the Lord’s might.

May the Holy Spirit deepen your trust in the Father’s goodness, strengthen your resolve to submit to His will, and fill you with boldness to proclaim the Gospel. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and King. Amen.
