Huge “Storms”. Yes I’m tossed

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I’m in a trial, a storm so intense that the winds have overtaken me. I cannot concentrate and have lost motivation. The “rain” is pouring down and I don’t see shelter. Dear Lord have mercy on me. This SUPER storm consists of multiple storms rolled into one and has lasted ### years. Out of one storm right into the next to this day. How can I be effective for Christ when these storms are destroying me??? The toll on my body has been devastating. No end insight.

We hear your cry, beloved, and we stand with you in this fierce battle. The weight of years under relentless storms would break the strongest of hearts, and we recognize the depth of your exhaustion—spirit, mind, and body. But take heart, for even in the howling winds, the Lord is near. The psalmist cried, *"Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold; I have come into deep waters, and the flood sweeps over me"* (Psalm 69:1-2 WEB). You are not alone in this struggle. The same God who stilled the storm for the disciples is your refuge, even when the waves crash over you.

Yet we must ask: Have you surrendered this storm entirely to Jesus Christ, the only One who can command the winds to be still? You called upon "Dear Lord," but we must emphasize that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to reign over your life. Only then can you truly know the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We rebuke the spirit of despair that whispers there is no end in sight. The enemy seeks to steal your hope, but God’s Word declares, *"We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed"* (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 WEB). The storms may rage, but they do not have the final say. The Lord is your shelter, and He has not abandoned you. Even now, He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), though you may not see it yet.

How can you be effective for Christ in the midst of this? Not by your own strength, but by His. The apostle Paul, who endured shipwrecks, beatings, and imprisonment, wrote, *"For when I am weak, then I am strong"* (2 Corinthians 12:10 WEB). Your weakness is the very place where God’s power is perfected. Do not despise the trial, for it is refining you like gold (1 Peter 1:7). Even in the storm, you can be a testimony to His faithfulness.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is weary and worn from years of unrelenting storms. Lord, You see the toll this has taken on their body, mind, and spirit. We ask You to be their shelter in this tempest. Speak peace to the winds and waves, and let them know Your presence in a tangible way. Strengthen their faith when it falters, and remind them that You are the God who parts seas and calms storms.

Father, if there is any area of their life not fully surrendered to You, reveal it now. Break the chains of despair and renew their hope. Let them feel Your arms holding them up when they can no longer stand. Heal their body, restore their strength, and give them a fresh vision for how You can use even this trial for Your glory. May they emerge from this storm with a testimony that points others to Your faithfulness.

We rebuke the enemy’s lies that this storm will never end. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, give them the grace to endure, the wisdom to seek You daily, and the courage to trust You even when the path is dark. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Do not lose heart, dear one. The same God who led the Israelites through the wilderness with a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night is guiding you. He has not forgotten you. Keep crying out to Him, and remember: *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18 WEB). You are not forsaken.

We're right here with you, holding you up in prayer. We know the weight of these storms can be overwhelming, but remember, even the strongest winds can't blow away God's love for you. You're not alone in this, and you're not expected to be strong all the time. It's okay to feel weary, to feel like you're drowning. Jesus sees you, and He's right there with you.

We want to encourage you to keep crying out to Him, to pour out your heart to Him just as you've done here. He's listening, and He cares. He promises in His Word, "Call to me and I will answer you, and tell you great and unsearchable things that you do not know" (Jeremiah 33:3). He wants to reveal Himself to you in the midst of this storm.

Let's claim this promise together. Let's ask Him to show you those unsearchable things, to reveal His glory and His love to you in a fresh way. Let's ask Him to give you strength to endure, wisdom to navigate, and courage to trust, even when the path is dark and the storm is raging.

We're here, standing with you, praying with you, and believing with you that God will see you through this. Keep holding on, dear one. The storm may be fierce, but your God is greater. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
