HOW TO RECEIVE A BLESSING
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it." Malachi 3:10
Do you know how to receive a blessing from God? Do you tithe? Do you know what tithing means? Our ministry is privileged to work and disciple new baby Christians, backslidden Christians, prodigals, as well as Christians mature in the Lord. We want to teach you the Word of God, so that you can apply it to your own personal life. Let's learn how to receive a blessing from God!
When Bob and I accepted Jesus Christ as Savior of our lives, our church taught us about being obedient to the Lord in many different ways. One important decision we made right away was baptism. Another principle that we learned about was tithing, or giving back to God one-tenth of our income.
I know that you personally may have never been taught this. You may be thinking at this moment, "I do not have enough money to pay my bills, let alone to give one tenth to God!"
"Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' "In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse-the whole nation of you-because you are robbing me." Malachi 3:8-9
Men of God have said that it would be better to rob a bank than to rob God. You want blessings from God, not consequences. What did I do when I was standing and on a tight budget, you may ask? I tithed. I had learned this principle as a Christian before and I was asking the Lord for a miracle and restoration in my marriage. So I wanted to be in right standing with my Lord God. I chose to live a Christ-like life which included tithing. Many Christians perish for their lack of knowledge of God's Word. May you not be one of them. I pray that you will read, study and memorize God's Word so you can apply it to your daily life every day.
May I ask and challenge you to give your tithe back to your Lord next Sunday? Why? So you will be blessed. Why? God commanded His children to give a tithe or one-tenth of their income. Why? Because you cannot out give God. God rewards His children for obedience.
"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Luke 6:38
You are believing for your marriage to be restored. Give your church your one-tenth of your income, give offerings to other ministries that help you through your walk as a Christian. There are many awesome ministries and missionaries who all need our support. Our ministry believes in tithing so strongly that Rejoice Marriage Ministries, Inc. tithes to other ministries every month. We cannot out give God.
Always know God's Word and reap the blessings that God has in store for you.
"...Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit," says the LORD Almighty. “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land," says the Lord Almighty. Malachi 3:10-12
This week worship the Lord each day with praises to His holy Name. Worship your Lord by giving your tithes and offerings to the Lord. Test Him and see if you will not be blessed in an awesome way.
"...see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it." Malachi 3:10
What a promise from your Lord God! I believe that God gives His children who give generously to Him, more so that they can continue to give to all of His churches and ministries. I pray for your obedience to another higher calling on your life to do all that our Lord teaches each of us to do as a child of God, giving our tithes and offerings and then be blessed by God.
Have a blessed day,
