how to pray

I'm often confused as to how to pray, i.e., "without ceasing" til an answer comes or to pray, then "let go and let God." I've been praying about a desperate situation and I find myself going back and forth betwen these two extremes. Any advice? Thanks!

Lord I am in firm agreement to Mark's prayer for Liz. Lord, I too have learned this myself, No Doubts, Fully Trusting and Believing in the Good Lord Above Through Your Faith Is the Only Way, Lord. Lord, We sometimes forget when you got us through times we never thought you would, Lord, You always come Through for Your Children Lord, I Love you Lord, and I Praise your Name everyday, whether it is Good Or not So Good, You are always there Protecting and Loving US, for You Lord are In Total Control, I Pray Liz Surrenders what has been bothering her to You Lord, You know what it is Lord, Guide her, direct her Lord, In Jesus Name AMEN
