James 1:5 "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given unto him."
1, Pray for God's mercy. We can't play games with God. He knows us inside out. In Luke 18:13, the Bible says: God have mercy on me, a sinner. When you pray for God's mercy, be willing to show mercy yourself.
2. Pray for God's help. Remember Jonah in the belly of the great fish. Jonah was running from God but he realized he couldn't do it without him so he called upon the Lord. When you pray for God's help, be willing to do whatever it takes to make things right. Even if wasn't your fault, even if it was your fault. Maybe you have been running yourself. Stop. Make it right with God first and then whoever you need to add to that list. You make the first move.
3. Pray for God's strength. Are you familiar with the song "I need thee every hour"?
On the day I called to you, you answered me. You made me strong and brave. Psalm 138:3 When you pray for God's stength, be willing to relyonhim throughout the day.
4. Pray for God's blessing. God is unlimited. He doesn't have just a handful of blessings to give out. He has more than you can ever imagine. When you pray for God's blessings, be willing to share his blessings with others. The greek word for blessings is MaKareeos which translates to happy, content, satisfied and fullfilled. Isn't that amazing!
5. Pray for God's will. You must be willing to take action, willing to do whatever it takes, willing to share and willing to be obediant.
wild stuff happens when you pray!
