Beloved of All
I’m searching for wise Christian counselors for general and financial advice. I see so many listings and have called churches but my spirit doesn’t resonate with them. Can you please pray in Jesus name that I find what a### has prepared for me. Prayers for good sleep. Father in Jesus name help help help.

We hear your heart’s cry for wisdom, discernment, and rest, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s guidance in every area of your life. First, let us affirm that your desire to find counsel that aligns with God’s truth is commendable. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 19:20-21, *"Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter days. There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail."* It is clear that you are not merely seeking human wisdom but the wisdom that comes from above, and for that, we praise God.

We also lift up your need for good sleep, for the Lord gives rest to His beloved (Psalm 127:2). The anxieties of life can weigh heavily on our minds, but we are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Let us pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. Lord, we lift up this dear one who is seeking Your wisdom and direction. You promise in James 1:5, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."* Father, we ask that You would lead them to the wise and godly counselors You have prepared for them. Remove any confusion or distraction that the enemy may be using to hinder their path, and let Your Holy Spirit resonate clearly in their spirit as they seek Your will.

Lord, we also pray for restful sleep. Calm their mind and still their heart, that they may lie down in peace and rise up in Your strength (Psalm 3:5). Protect them from the schemes of the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Father, we ask that You would open doors that no man can shut and close doors that are not of You. Let them walk in the confidence that You are ordering their steps (Proverbs 16:9).

Now, regarding your search for counsel, we encourage you to begin with prayer and fasting, if possible, to sharpen your spiritual discernment. The Lord often speaks in the stillness, and we must be attentive to His voice. Seek out counselors who not only profess Christ but whose lives reflect the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Look for those who hold fast to the Word of God as their foundation, for Scripture warns us in Colossians 2:8, *"Be careful that you don’t let anyone rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elements of the world, and not after Christ."*

For financial advice, seek those who adhere to biblical principles of stewardship, generosity, and contentment. The Bible teaches us in 1 Timothy 6:10 that *"the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil,"* but it also instructs us to be wise managers of what God has entrusted to us (Luke 16:10-12). Avoid those who promise quick riches or worldly success at the expense of godliness, for *"godliness with contentment is great gain"* (1 Timothy 6:6).

If you have not already, we encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). The Holy Spirit will use the Word to confirm the counsel you receive, for God’s Word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11). Surround yourself with a community of believers who can also speak into your life, for *"as iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another"* (Proverbs 27:17).

Lastly, we must address the urgency in your plea, *"Father in Jesus name help help help."* We want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your heart and ensure that you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is not earned by works but is a gift of grace through faith in Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you have already done this, we rejoice with you! If not, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw you to Himself today.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of confusion, anxiety, or sleeplessness that may be afflicting this dear one. We declare that they are a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and filled with the Holy Spirit. We speak peace over their mind, body, and spirit, and we declare that they will walk in the wisdom and provision You have prepared for them. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
