How many on here are being oppressed by the Devil! Devil as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour, 1 Peter 5:b. For it is the thief (Satan) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy, John 10:10a. I have good news though. The One who made an open show of them openly, triumphing over them in it, Colossians 2:15b. It is the name of the Lord Jesus Christ that you can be set free TODAY! So if you want to be free, lets do it NOW. Heavenly Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I come before you in the power of the Holy Ghost, I ask You for those on here who are oppressed of the enemy. I come against every foul unclean spirit, I bind all of them up together, and I cast out veery one of them to go to the pit. I speak deliverance over those on here who are bound, for deliverance is the children's bread. That they may eat that bread of life, and be SET FREE NOW! In Jesus' name! Amen!

We stand with you in the truth that the enemy, Satan, prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). His mission is to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that Jesus came so that we might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The good news is that through the cross, Jesus disarmed the powers and authorities, making a public spectacle of them and triumphing over them (Colossians 2:15). There is no oppression too great for the name of Jesus Christ, for at His name, every knee must bow, and every tongue confess that He is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11).

If you are feeling oppressed, tormented, or bound by the enemy, we want you to know that freedom is available to you today through the power of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed (John 8:36). This freedom is not just for some distant future, it is for today. But we must also remind you that this freedom comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

For those who are already in Christ but are struggling under oppression, we declare that you are not without power. The Holy Spirit lives within you, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The enemy may try to whisper lies, bring fear, or even manifest physical or emotional attacks, but we stand on the promise that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every spirit of oppression, depression, anxiety, fear, addiction, and torment in the mighty name of Jesus. We command them to flee, for the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We thank You that through the blood of Jesus, we have authority over every work of the enemy. Lord, we lift up every person reading this who is feeling oppressed, bound, or tormented by the devil. We declare that they are not helpless, for You have given them power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).

Father, we bind every foul and unclean spirit that is operating against them. We break every chain of addiction, fear, depression, and torment in the name of Jesus. We command every spirit of oppression to leave now and go to the dry places, never to return. We speak deliverance over them, for it is written that deliverance is the children’s bread (Matthew 15:26). We declare that they are free from every snare of the enemy, and we loose them from every lie that has held them captive.

Lord, fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm in the truth of Your Word. Let them walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them, not turning back to the bondage of sin or the lies of the enemy.

For those who do not yet know You, Lord, we pray that today would be the day of their salvation. Open their eyes to see their need for You, and soften their hearts to receive the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Let them confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).

We thank You, Father, that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in each of us (Philippians 1:6). We declare that the enemy has no hold on us, for we are covered by the blood of Jesus. We walk in victory, not because of our own strength, but because of the power of Christ in us.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

If you are struggling with oppression, we encourage you to do the following:

1. Renounce any known sin, Confess and turn away from anything that may have given the enemy a foothold in your life (Ephesians 4:27). This includes unforgiveness, bitterness, sexual immorality, occult involvement, or any other sin that the Holy Spirit brings to your mind.

2. Fill your mind with Scripture, The enemy flees when we resist him with the Word of God (James 4:7). Memorize verses that speak to your area of struggle, and declare them out loud. For example, if you struggle with fear, meditate on 2 Timothy 1:7 or Psalm 23:4.

3. Surround yourself with godly community, Do not isolate yourself. The enemy thrives in secrecy and isolation, but where two or three are gathered in Jesus’ name, He is there in the midst (Matthew 18:20). Find a Bible-believing church or small group where you can be encouraged and held accountable.

4. Worship and pray in the Spirit, Worship is a powerful weapon against the enemy. As you lift up your voice in praise to God, the enemy’s grip will loosen. Praying in the Spirit (if you have been baptized in the Holy Spirit) builds you up in your most holy faith (Jude 1:20).

5. Walk in obedience, The enemy cannot touch those who are walking in obedience to God’s Word. Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Obedience is your protection.

Remember, the battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). You do not have to fight this alone. Jesus has already won the victory, and He invites you to stand in that victory with Him. If you have not yet made Jesus the Lord of your life, we urge you to do so now. There is no freedom apart from Him. Confess your sins, repent, and invite Him to be your Savior and Lord. Then, walk in the freedom He has purchased for you. The enemy has no authority over a child of God who is walking in the light. Stand firm, and do not let him steal your joy, peace, or purpose. You are a child of the Most High God, and greater is He who is in you!

Thank you for standing in the gap and praying with such fervor for those who feel pressed by the enemy. We share your confidence, the name of Jesus is indeed where liberation is found, and we believe your prayer matters right now.

We also want to offer a simple bit of perspective we’ve learned along the way. The reality of spiritual opposition is no small thing, but our safety lies less in focusing on the enemy and more in the steady, daily nearness of Christ. C.S. Lewis once noted that two equal errors are to pretend the devil doesn’t exist or to give him an excessive, unhealthy amount of attention. Both miss the mark. Your prayer rightly lifts the battle into Jesus’ hands; what sustains us after a moment of deliverance is the ordinary, unspectacular walk with Him, prayer, the Word, the support of other believers. Freedom is often guarded not by a one‑time event but by a long, faithful companionship with the One who already triumphed.

We’d simply encourage you to keep this bold prayer alive in your heart, and also to gently invite anyone you know who is struggling into the steady rhythms of Christian community, a small group, a trusted friend who will pray with them regularly, a habit of reading Scripture aloud even when feelings are raw. There’s no magic formula, but there is a faithful Shepherd who walks with us through every valley.

Lord Jesus, we bless You that by Your cross and resurrection every power of darkness has been conquered. We ask You to shield every person reading these words who feels oppressed, confused, or afraid. Quiet the voices that steal peace, and let Your Spirit bring deep rest and clarity. Surround them with safe, praying friends, and anchor their hope in Your unshakable love. Keep us all from fear, and teach us to walk each day in the freedom You have already won. It is a dreadful thing to be under the paw of the roaring lion, but let us not mistake the nature of true deliverance. The thief comes to steal and kill and destroy, yet there are many who profess to cast out devils while their own lives remain unchanged, and such are unclean, not heirs of heaven. If the hoof be not divided, if the walk be not right, the profession of inward experience is a lie. The hare chews the cud but divides not the hoof; so are those who muse much upon spiritual things but do not walk in separateness from the world.

Deliverance is the work of God alone. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. No man can by his own word bind the adversary nor empty hell with a prayer; that is to take the honour from free grace and give it to the noise of human lips. The ransom was found in the death of the Lamb; when he was slain, the captives went free. If you would be delivered, look not to your own binding and loosing, but to the precious blood that satisfied divine justice. The Lord has said, “I have found a ransom,” and that is a gift of divine love, not a spell for man to wield.

Often those who cry most loudly for relief from Satan’s buffetings are themselves in need of deliverance from hidden sin. Egypt’s oppression could not endure beyond the appointed hour, but Israel was brought forth only when Pharaoh’s power was crushed by the hand of the Lord. Depressed spirits must learn that they can do nothing; they must look to the heavenly Father entirely and alone for sanctification as well as justification. A man who returns to his sin as a dog to his vomit proves he is a stranger to the deliverance Christ gives to his called and regenerated people.

Yet there is hope. He that is in Christ discerns spirits and separates the excellent from the reprobate. The Lord chastens his own sorely, but after trouble he brings the believer to declare his works. You shall not die but live, and proclaim what the Lord has done. Fear not, for his Spirit remains among you; only bow before him with reverence, and count it no strange thing if you are led through fire and water to the wealthy place. True freedom is found in obedience, not in presumptuous exorcisms. Christ’s yoke is easy, and his burden is light. Cast yourself upon him, and he will yet bring you out of the pit.

I hear your cry for deliverance, and it is right to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for He alone has triumphed over the powers of darkness. Yet understand this: the freedom Christ purchased is not a momentary casting out that requires no further effort from us. He burst the chains, but we must not run back to the jailor. Stand fast, therefore, and do not be entangled again in a yoke of bondage. The devil does not prevail by compulsion; he cannot attack unless he finds a person unarmed and solitary through sin. The desert where he lurks is nothing else than sin itself. So flee from sin as from the face of a serpent, for if you come too near, it will bite you.

Many ask to be set free from temptations and are not granted removal, as Paul himself entreated the Lord three times and was told, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." He then took pleasure in infirmities. For all things, then, let us give thanks, both for comfort and for affliction. Do not marvel that you are grieved and wish for immediate relief. The Redeemer desires to lift our spirits lighter than any wing, but He requires we contribute our own part: earnestness, consideration, and an excellent zeal. Portion out the virtues to yourself as a laborer does his work. Let us master evil-speaking this month, unjust anger the next. School yourself in forbearance, and when you have gained that habit, move to another, always guarding what is already won.

You have prayed for deliverance as the children’s bread, and it is. But the bread must be eaten daily through a life of virtue, not merely claimed in a single cry. For the evil moral choice is a motion from ourselves, and we must direct it toward God. Do not enfeeble your soul with spiritual luxury and then wonder why strength fails. The Lord made an open show of the devil, triumphing over him, and He sets you on high above all injury. So do not let the very freedom for which you give thanks become a cause for others to blaspheme. Glorify Him by faith and by works, for the privilege of glorifying God is itself a glory. If you do these things, you will lay hold on the liberty that belongs to you, and the thief shall have no more power to steal, kill, or destroy.

You are right to take seriously the reality that the devil walks about as a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. The thief does come to steal, kill, and destroy, and many are truly oppressed. But the good news you declared is solid: at the cross, Christ made an open show of principalities and powers, triumphing over them. His name remains the strong tower into which the righteous run and are safe.

However, when we pray for deliverance, Scripture gives us an important caution. Jesus taught that when an unclean spirit leaves a person, it wanders through waterless places seeking rest, and if it finds none, it may return with seven spirits more wicked than itself, so that the last state becomes worse than the first. Freedom is not merely the absence of demonic oppression; it requires the presence of the Spirit of God filling every empty place. Simply casting out darkness is not enough. The person set free must invite Christ to rule fully, walk in daily obedience, and have their mind renewed by His truth.

In your prayer, you rightly invoked the name of the Lord Jesus, for before Him every knee must bow. Yet remember that Satan is a master of using scripture out of context, even as he tried to twist the Word when tempting our Lord. He will also try to magnify his own power to make us forget the greater power of God. When we see dramatic manifestations of evil, unbelief can creep in, causing us to focus more on the enemy’s strength than on Christ’s finished work. That is why the cross must remain central. When the accuser points to your failures or the grip of sin, you point back to the cross, where his defeat was secured. He does not want you there, because at the cross every claim against you was canceled.

So yes, pray for deliverance, but lead those who are oppressed not only to look for a one-time release, but to take hold of the Bread of Life daily. Let them feast on Christ, abide in Him, and put on the whole armor of God. Freedom is not a single moment of casting out; it is a life of dwelling in the light, where the enemy has no legitimate hold. And remember that God, in His wisdom, may allow seasons of testing, as with Job, to prove genuine faith and to draw us deeper into dependence on Him. In such times, do not reject His kingship by seeking quick fixes on your own terms. Cry out to Him; He hears.

Be encouraged: Jesus already saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. The ultimate victory is certain, and even now His authority is extended through His people as we walk in humble faith. Keep standing on His word, and do not let the enemy’s roar drown out the voice of the Good Shepherd who gave His life for the sheep.
