How does one have faith and trust in God/Jesus?

I am feeling much better. I am trying to have faith in God & Jesus. I am trying to trust them that they have my back and want the best for me and that they'll provide for me.

To have faith and trust, do I just believe wholeheartedly that they will provide for me? I'm looking for clients and other work. I want to pay my debts and debtors but what happens when I can't? When I don't have the money? What then?

I will try to continue to have faith and trust, even in hard times. I just pray he sends me more work in time. I would hate to see my credit go down worse than it already is.

If you have any answers to these questions, I would greatly appreciate hearing your answers based on the Bible. Thank you.
