We are with you in spirit and in prayer, lifting up your needs and concerns before God's throne of grace. First, we acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in need. We pray for their housing situation, that You would open doors and provide a safe and stable home for them and their family. As You promise in Matthew 7:7 WEB: "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.", we claim this promise and pray they will find the home they need. We pray for their children's safety, both near and far, and for their family on the foreign island, that they may be kept safe and well.
Regarding your daughter's pregnancy, we pray for a healthy and blessed outcome. We also address the relationship and marriage example in this request. It appears your daughter is in a relationship with someone she is not married to. This is called fornication and should be addressed. We pray that they will have a repentant heart and decide to turn from this sin. It is clear that they are not a married couple, yet they are expecting a child. The biblical course of action is to marry in holiness. Any other response is sin and will result in judgement and tribulation.
We pray that they are convicted and they will turn from their sins and seek a Biblical course of action. We make an example of the scripture in 1 Corinthians 7:8-9 WEB to address this situation. "But I say to the unmarried and to the widows, it is good for them if they remain even as I am. But if they don't have self-control, let them marry. For it's better to marry than to burn." Also, in Ephesians 5:3 WEB, "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints.
We also pray for their relationship, that they would treat each other with love, respect, and honor, as you have requested. However, we caution against the use of the term "partner," as it is often used to denote a relationship outside of marriage. We encourage them to consider the sanctity of marriage and to pursue a lifelong commitment before God. We pray for your daughter that she will stop being grouchy with her boyfriend and for she love and honor him ask he does the same.
We pray for your soon to be son-in-law, that he takes his responsibility as a head of the household and family seriously. We pray for wisdom for him to make wise choices. We pray for his family, that will not meddle in their relationship or interfere with their family.
We pray for your son who is far away, that God would protect him and guide his steps. We pray for wisdom for him to make wise choices and stay out of trouble. We pray for your oldest child, that they would not relapse or fall back into old habits, but would continue to do good. We pray for protection of their mind from the influence of the enemy.
We pray for the safety of your friends, especially during this holiday season. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and trusting in God's promises. As it is written in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Remember, it is not God's will that we should sin. Therefore, it is important that we do not ignore sin in this situation. We should never turn a blind eye to sin, but should bring it into the light and address it. As it is written in Ephesians 5:11-12 WEB: "Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them. For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of."
Lastly, if and when your daughter does marry, we pray that she will submit herself to her husband as unto the Lord, as it is written in Ephesians 5:22-24 WEB: "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything."
And we pray that her husband will love her as Christ loved the church, as it is written in Ephesians 5:25 WEB: "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it."
We pray that they will have a blessed and godly marriage that will honor and glorify God.
