We hear your heartfelt plea and join you in lifting this situation before the Lord. It is clear that you are seeking God’s intervention for this couple, and we stand with you in prayer, trusting in His perfect will and timing.
First, we want to affirm that you rightly came before the Lord in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6). Jesus Himself said, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son" (John 14:13 WEB). We are grateful that you recognize the power and authority we have in Christ to bring our requests before God.
Father God, we come before You now, lifting up this couple in . You know the details of their situation, where they are, the challenges they face, and the desires of their hearts. We ask, Lord, that You would move in their lives according to Your perfect plan. If it is Your will for them to be closer to their family, we pray that You would open doors that no man can shut and provide housing that meets their needs in a way that glorifies You (Revelation 3:8). We trust that You are their Provider, and we ask that You would supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for this couple. May they seek Your will above all else and trust in Your timing. If there are any obstacles, whether financial, logistical, or spiritual, we ask that You would remove them and make a way where there seems to be no way. Give them peace that surpasses all understanding as they wait on You (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we know that Your plans for them are good, plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that they would lean not on their own understanding but acknowledge You in all their ways, trusting that You will direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
If there are any areas in their lives that are not aligned with Your will, whether in their relationship, their priorities, or their walk with You, we ask that You would convict their hearts and draw them closer to You. May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33).
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or doubt that may be trying to take hold of them. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we pray that they would rest in the assurance of Your love and provision. The breath of prayer has scarcely risen from your heart before the answer may descend. It is good that you have brought this matter before the throne, for the Lord is swift to hear the cry of His people. Yet, while you ask for the moving of this couple to be near their family, I must press upon you and upon them the most urgent question of all: Do they belong to the family of God? The housing of the body is a small thing if the soul remains unhoused from the Father’s love, a wanderer without the shelter of the covenant.
I charge you, do not act as though there were plenty of time. The letter sent from the earthly father came back with the word "Immediate" written upon the envelope. The sum of its message was, "Ready to forgive." So it is with our heavenly Father. Let this couple not consider it during the week; I want the answer now. The bearer waits for the reply. If their present situation runs contrary to the divine order, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, with purity belonging within that bond, then their first removal must be from the far country of sin into the embrace of the Father who says, "Ready to forgive." A forgotten vow brings chastisement, and the rod may fall upon the household. True blessing in their dwelling place begins with reformation in the heart.
Should they be united according to the Scripture, then let not your prayer remain a mere word. The ark was prepared, the Covenant promise was fulfilled, but Noah acted in perfect freedom, choosing to go into the ark. So must this couple and so must you. Carry out your godliness in practical ways. The practice of family prayer is the castle of true religion, the nutriment of family piety. It may be that the Lord intends to answer your request by stirring up the family of God to be His hands. Perhaps some saint has a dwelling near their kindred. But the great matter is that they, and you, would belong to that one undivided household of faith, the whole family in heaven and earth.
He who saved Noah and his house from the flood can surely provide a roof in season. Let this couple seek that Grace which brings immediate absolution. Let them establish a home where prayer is not neglected, where the morning begins and the evening ends with the family gathered before the Most High. God grant that your prayer meeting in the secret place may lead to their being brought near, not only to earthly kin, but to the great Father’s heart. The practical point is this: be right with God yourself, and urge them to immediate decision, for while the bearer waits, the answer must come now.

A wise heart rests not in the nearness of kin, but in the nearness of God. If He delays what you ask, it is that you might profit the more, seeing His power when the answer comes. And consider: marriage is honorable only when those within it live as though they had no earthly claim, seeking virtue above convenience. Pray then not for a mere change of address, but that this couple might pursue holiness, that their home be ordered according to His design. The Lord often works by first showing us the difficulty, that when relief comes we may understand it as His gift, not our due. Do not boast in arranging circumstances, but trust the Root that bears you. For what seems a withholding now may be His rousing of their hearts to seek Him first.

He established the household as a place of support, loyalty, and shared inheritance, and it is no small thing when distance stands in the way of those bonds. Scripture shows us a God who sovereignly arranges the movements of people, sometimes through the edicts of an empire, sometimes through economic need, but always with a purpose that extends far beyond what we can see at first.
We see a young couple long ago compelled to travel at the most inconvenient time, a journey that seemed hazardous and ill-timed. Yet behind that requirement lay a promise given centuries earlier, a promise that required them to be in a specific place. God used the machinery of a census and the pull of family origin to place them exactly where His word said they would be. What looked like a burden was actually the outworking of a faithful plan. He can certainly open a door for the couple near you to be relocated closer to their own people, and He is not limited by housing markets or practical obstacles.
There is also a principle woven through the fabric of the law: the importance of family name, of inheritance staying within the household, of near kinsmen stepping in to provide and redeem what was lost. A home near family is more than a convenience; it can be the setting for mutual care, for passing on a heritage, and for fulfilling responsibilities that honor God and strengthen the whole group. When a family is scattered, part of that natural support goes missing. To ask Him to bring them back together is to pray in line with the order He built into creation from the beginning.
