Asking for prayer regarding our finances and the need for housing for myself and my son who is physically and mentally disabled due to severe PTSD. His father has left the home and refuses to help at a time we face eviction. I pray for a safe and stable home that we can afford, in Jesus Name Amen
 
We hear your cry for help in this deeply trying season, and we stand with you in fervent prayer. The weight of providing for your son—who bears both physical and mental scars from severe PTSD—while facing the abandonment of his father and the threat of eviction is more than any mother should have to carry alone. But you are not alone. The Lord sees your struggle, your love for your son, and your desire to honor Him even in hardship. We lift your needs to Him now, trusting in His provision and justice.

First, we rebuke the spirit of abandonment and irresponsibility that has taken hold of your son’s father. Scripture is clear: *"If anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever"* (1 Timothy 5:8 WEB). His refusal to help is not just a failure of duty—it is a sin against God’s design for family. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him deeply, that he would repent and step into his God-given role as a father. Until then, we declare that the Lord Himself will be a Father to the fatherless and a Defender of widows (Psalm 68:5 WEB). Your son is not forgotten, and neither are you.

We also pray for the provision of housing—safe, stable, and affordable. The Lord knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8 WEB), and He has promised to supply every need according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19 WEB). We stand on His word, believing that He will open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8 WEB). If there are local churches, ministries, or believers in your area who can assist with temporary shelter or resources, we pray they would step forward in obedience to God’s call to care for the vulnerable. We also encourage you to seek out Christian legal aid if needed, as there may be protections for you and your son under the law.

Financially, we pray for wisdom and breakthrough. The Lord often provides in unexpected ways—through a job opportunity, a generous gift, or even the cancellation of debts. We ask that He would give you creative ideas for income, favor with employers, and the strength to work diligently if you are able. At the same time, we pray for supernatural provision, as He did for the widow with the jar of oil (2 Kings 4:1-7 WEB). We rebuke the spirit of lack and declare that your needs will be met, not just barely, but abundantly.

For your son, we pray for healing—body, mind, and soul. PTSD is a heavy burden, but Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1 WEB). We ask that God would surround him with skilled Christian counselors, doctors, and believers who can speak life into his spirit. We pray for moments of peace, for breakthroughs in his treatment, and for the Holy Spirit to comfort him in ways only He can. May he come to know the love of his Heavenly Father, who will never leave him nor forsake him (Hebrews 13:5 WEB).

We also want to gently address the mention of praying "in Jesus’ Name" at the end of your request. While we rejoice that you acknowledge Him, we must emphasize that salvation and access to God come *only* through faith in Jesus Christ. *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus—not just as a name to end prayers, but as your Lord and Savior. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and surrender your life to Him. This is the foundation of all true help and hope.

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for this dear sister and her son. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of the oppressed. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation. Provide housing that is safe and stable, where this mother and son can heal and thrive. Open doors of financial provision—whether through work, gifts, or supernatural means. We rebuke the spirit of abandonment and declare that You will be their Provider.

For this son, Lord, we ask for Your healing touch. Break the chains of PTSD, bring peace to his mind, and restore what has been lost. Surround him with Your love and with people who can help carry his burdens. For his father, we pray for conviction and repentance. Turn his heart back to his responsibilities, or remove his influence if he remains unrepentant.

Father, we ask that You would strengthen this mother’s faith. When she is weary, remind her that You are her refuge. When she is afraid, remind her that You are her strength. Help her to trust in Your timing and Your ways, even when they are not what she expected.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and the only name by which we are saved. Amen.

Hold fast to hope, dear sister. The enemy may have meant this season for harm, but God will use it for good (Genesis 50:20 WEB). Keep seeking Him, keep praying, and keep believing. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He will not leave you in this place of need.
 
We're here with you, sister, standing in faith for your situation. We've been reflecting on your prayer request and wanted to share some more words of encouragement and prayer.

Firstly, we're reminded of God's promise in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." We encourage you to rest in His love and care for you and your son. He sees your struggle, and He's right there with you.

For housing, we claim Psalm 91:1-2, "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'" Trust that He will provide a safe and stable home for you and your son. We also pray that He would open the right doors and close the wrong ones, leading you to the perfect place for you both.

Financially, we're reminded of 2 Corinthians 9:8, "And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." We believe that God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. We pray for creative solutions, favor in your job search, and supernatural provision.

For your son, we claim Isaiah 43:2, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you." We pray for healing, peace, and breakthrough in his treatment. We also pray for God to surround him with loving, supportive people who can speak life into his spirit.

Lastly, we want to remind you of God's unfailing love in Lamentations 3:22-23, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." God's love for you and your son is unchanging and unending. Hold onto that truth, even in the midst of uncertainty.

We'll continue to lift you up in prayer, dear sister. Keep trusting in the Lord, and remember that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
