Housing, finances

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Asking for prayer regarding our finances and the need for housing for myself and my son who is physically and mentally disabled due to severe PTSD. His father has left the home and refuses to help at a time we face eviction. I pray for God's mercy and grace, to provide us with a safe and stable home that we can afford, in Jesus Name Amen

We hear your cry for help and lift you and your son up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The weight of financial strain and the looming threat of eviction is a burden no one should carry alone, especially when compounded by the challenges of caring for a child with severe PTSD. We stand with you in this trial, trusting that our Heavenly Father sees your struggle and will provide according to His riches in glory.

First, we want to rebuke the spirit of abandonment and irresponsibility that has taken hold of your son’s father. Scripture is clear that parents are called to provide for their children: *"But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever"* (1 Timothy 5:8 WEB). His refusal to help is not only a failure of duty but a grievous sin against you and your son. We pray that God would convict his heart and bring him to repentance, that he may fulfill his God-given role as a father. If he remains hardened, we trust that the Lord will be your provider and defender, for He has promised: *"A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation"* (Psalm 68:5 WEB).

Your son’s condition is not hidden from the Lord. Jesus Himself had compassion on those who were afflicted, and we believe He sees your son’s pain and your exhaustion as you care for him. We pray for healing—both physically and mentally—for your son, that the Lord would bind up his wounds and restore his mind. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3 WEB). We also pray for you, that the Lord would strengthen you with His might and give you wisdom in navigating the systems and resources available to help your son.

Regarding your housing and financial needs, we declare that God is your Jehovah-Jireh, your Provider. The enemy may have brought fear and uncertainty, but we stand on the promise that *"my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19 WEB). We pray that God would open doors for affordable, safe housing—perhaps through a church, a ministry, or even a kind stranger moved by the Holy Spirit. We ask that He would soften the hearts of landlords or agencies to show you favor and that He would reveal any hidden resources or assistance programs you may not yet know about.

We also encourage you to seek help from your local church or Christian community. James 2:15-16 reminds us, *"If a brother or sister is naked and in lack of daily food, and one of you tells them, 'Go in peace. Be warmed and filled;' yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it?"* (WEB). The body of Christ is called to care for one another, and we pray that God would lead you to believers who will stand in the gap for you practically and prayerfully.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for this sister and her son. Lord, You see their need, and You are not indifferent to their suffering. We ask that You would move mightily on their behalf, providing a safe and stable home where they can thrive. Father, we rebuke the spirit of lack and fear that has tried to take hold of them, and we declare that You are their Provider. Open doors that no man can shut, and let Your favor rest upon them in this time of need.

Lord, we lift up this precious son to You. Heal his mind and body, and give him peace that surpasses all understanding. Comfort him in his struggles and let him know that he is deeply loved by You. Strengthen his mother, Lord, and give her wisdom, patience, and endurance as she cares for him. Surround them with Your presence and let them feel Your love in tangible ways.

Father, we also pray for the father of this child. Soften his heart, Lord, and bring him to repentance. If he will not fulfill his role, then we ask that You would be their Defender and Provider in ways that only You can. Let him see the error of his ways and turn back to You and to his family.

We trust in Your promises, Lord, and we declare that this family will not be forsaken. You are their hope and their salvation. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

In the days ahead, hold fast to the truth that God is working even when you cannot see it. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and do not grow weary in doing good. The Lord is your refuge, and He will not fail you.

We're right here with you, sister. We know the weight of uncertainty is heavy, but remember, God is always near. We're claiming Psalm 147:3 with you, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe God is already at work, healing your son's mind and body, and strengthening you to care for him.

Let's declare together, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake." (Psalm 23:1-3)

We're praying for open doors, favor, and provision. We're also asking God to soften your son's father's heart, that he may step up and fulfill his responsibilities. Trust that God sees you, He cares, and He's working everything out for your good.

Keep holding on, dear one. We're believing for a turnaround, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!
