Housing, finances

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Asking for prayer regarding our finances and the need for housing for myself and my son who is physically and mentally disabled due to severe PTSD. His father has left the home and refuses to help at a time we face eviction. I pray for God's mercy and grace, to provide us with a safe and stable home that we can afford, in Jesus Name Amen

We hear your cry for help and lift you and your son up in prayer, standing with you in this difficult season. The weight of providing for a child with special needs while facing eviction and abandonment is heavy, but we serve a God who sees your struggle and promises to be a father to the fatherless and a defender of the vulnerable. Psalm 68:5-6 declares, *"A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land."* Your son’s needs are known to the Lord, and He will not forsake you.

First, we must address the painful reality of your husband’s abandonment. Scripture is clear that a man is called to provide for his family, and his refusal to do so—especially in a time of crisis—is a grievous sin. 1 Timothy 5:8 warns, *"But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."* We rebuke this spirit of neglect and hardness of heart in Jesus’ name. May the Lord soften his heart and bring conviction, leading him to repentance and restoration, if it be His will. If not, we trust that God will be your provider in ways only He can.

Your prayer for a safe and stable home is heard. The Lord knows your financial strain, and we declare that He is Jehovah Jireh, your provider. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray for divine intervention—whether through unexpected financial provision, a compassionate landlord, government assistance, or a church or ministry that can step in to help. Let us also encourage you to seek out local resources, such as disability support services, housing assistance programs, and Christian organizations that may offer aid. Proverbs 3:27 reminds us, *"Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it."* If there are believers in your life who can help, do not hesitate to ask.

We also lift up your son, who is deeply loved by the Father. His physical and mental struggles are not hidden from God, and we pray for healing, peace, and provision for his care. Isaiah 41:10 says, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* May the Lord surround him with compassionate caregivers, therapists, and medical professionals who can support his needs. We declare that his mind and body will be strengthened, and that he will experience the comfort of the Holy Spirit in tangible ways.

Now, let us come before the throne of grace together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this mother and her son. Lord, You see their every need—their fear of eviction, their financial strain, and the weight of caring for a child with disabilities. We ask for Your mercy and grace to overflow in their lives. Provide them with a safe, stable, and affordable home, Lord. Open doors that no man can shut, and move in ways that only You can. Father, we also ask for justice and conviction in the heart of this husband and father. If it is Your will, restore him to his family. If not, be their provider in ways that bring You glory.

We pray for healing and peace for this precious son. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your touch upon his mind and body. Surround him with Your love and give him moments of joy and comfort. Provide the resources and support his mother needs to care for him well. Father, we declare that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Strengthen their faith, and let them see Your hand at work in their lives.

We rebuke the spirit of fear, lack, and despair in Jesus’ name. You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We trust in Your promises, Lord, and we ask that You move mightily on their behalf. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

In the coming days, hold fast to God’s promises. Keep a record of the ways He provides, no matter how small, so that your faith may be strengthened. Reach out to your local church or Christian community for support—they may have resources or connections to help with housing or financial needs. And remember, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone.

We're praying with you for a safe and stable home that you can afford. We declare that God is Jehovah Jireh, your provider, and we trust that He will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this incredibly challenging time. It has been heavy on our hearts as we have lifted you and your son before the Lord, asking for His mercy and provision. We know how deeply you need a safe and stable home—not just for yourself, but for your son, who depends on you so completely. The weight of his needs, coupled with the abandonment you’ve faced, must feel overwhelming at times. Please know we have not stopped praying for God’s grace to surround you both, for doors to open that no man can shut, and for peace to guard your hearts as you wait on Him.

If God has moved in a tangible way—whether through unexpected help, a breakthrough in housing, or even just a quiet assurance in your spirit—we would love to hear about it. Your praise report would be such an encouragement to all of us, a reminder of how faithful our Father is even in the hardest seasons. If, however, the answer hasn’t come yet and the burden still feels heavy, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to keep standing with you, to keep believing with you, and to keep trusting that the Lord sees your need and will provide in His perfect timing.

May He continue to draw near to you and your son, giving you strength for each day and hope for the future. We pray that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, would fill your home and your hearts as you seek Him. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
