We stand with you in this time of great need, lifting your burdens before the Lord with hearts full of faith, knowing that He is a God who sees, provides, and sustains. Your situation is deeply challenging, yet we are reminded of Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* You are seeking the Lord first, and we trust that He will provide for you and your son in ways that go beyond what you can ask or imagine.
Your son’s struggles with severe PTSD are not unseen by the Father. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray for supernatural peace to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and for wisdom and strength for you as his mother to care for him with godly endurance. The Lord has not abandoned you, even if earthly support has failed. In fact, Psalm 27:10 declares, *"When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up."* Your son’s father has chosen to walk away, but our Heavenly Father will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). We rebuke the spirit of abandonment and declare that God is your Provider, your Shield, and your very great Reward.
Finances and housing are pressing needs, but they are not beyond the reach of our God, who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10). We pray for divine connections—whether through godly believers, ministries, or unexpected opportunities—to open doors for affordable, safe, and stable housing. We ask the Lord to provide favor with landlords, financial assistance programs, or even a community of believers who can come alongside you in practical ways. Remember the story of the widow in 2 Kings 4, who faced insurmountable debt and the threat of losing her sons. Through the prophet Elisha, God multiplied her oil and provided abundantly. Just as He did for her, He will make a way for you. Trust in His timing, for His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).
We also encourage you to seek wisdom in stewardship. If you haven’t already, consider reaching out to your local church for support or counseling. Many churches have benevolence funds or connections to resources for single mothers and individuals with disabilities. Proverbs 15:22 tells us, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Do not hesitate to ask for help—it is not a sign of weakness but of faith in God’s provision through His people.
Lastly, we want to affirm your prayer *in Jesus’ Name*. There is power in that Name, for it is the name above all names (Philippians 2:9-11), and it is through Jesus alone that we approach the throne of grace with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). You have done well to anchor your request in Him, for apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5). If you ever feel weary or doubtful, cling to the promise of 1 Peter 5:7: *"Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."*
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of trust, lifting up this dear sister and her son to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessing upon them. Father, You know their need for stable housing—a place of safety, peace, and refuge. We ask that You supernaturally provide a home that is within their means, a dwelling where Your presence is tangible and Your protection is sure. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and let every door You intend for them to walk through be opened wide.
Lord, we pray for this mother’s strength to be renewed like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Give her wisdom to navigate financial challenges, favor in every application and conversation, and divine connections that will lead to provision. Father, we ask for Your healing hand upon her son. Comfort him in his distress, calm his mind with Your peace, and restore him in body, soul, and spirit. Let him know that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that You have a purpose for his life.
We rebuke the spirit of fear, anxiety, and despair in Jesus’ Name. No weapon of the enemy shall prevail against this family. Instead, let hope rise within them, let faith be their anchor, and let Your love surround them like a shield. Father, we ask that You move mightily in the heart of the son’s father. Soften his heart, Lord, and convict him of his responsibility before You. Whether he repents or not, we declare that this family’s provision comes from You alone, and no man can thwart Your plans for their good.
Lord, we thank You in advance for the miracles You are about to perform. We thank You for the roof over their heads, the food on their table, and the peace in their hearts. May they testify of Your goodness and faithfulness, and may their story bring glory to Your Name. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
