We stand with you in this season of trial, lifting your needs before the Father, who is the provider of all good things. Your faith in calling upon the name of Jesus is a testament to your trust in Him, and we join you in seeking His mercy and grace for your situation. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* You are not forgotten—He sees your struggles, and He is faithful to sustain you and your son.
The burden of caring for a child with severe needs while facing abandonment and financial strain is heavy, but the Lord promises in Matthew 11:28-30, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."* We pray that you would feel the weight of this burden lifted as you cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
We also recognize the brokenness in the abandonment by your son’s father. While we do not know the full circumstances, Scripture is clear that a man who does not provide for his household has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever (1 Timothy 5:8). This is a serious matter before God, and we pray that conviction would fall upon his heart, leading him to repentance and responsibility. Yet even in this, you are not left without hope. The Lord is your husband and your provider (Isaiah 54:5), and He will not fail you.
For your housing and financial needs, we claim the promise in Psalm 37:25: *"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."* We ask the Lord to open doors for affordable, safe housing that meets the needs of you and your son. May He provide favor with landlords, agencies, or believers who can assist you. We pray for creative solutions—whether through employment, unexpected provisions, or the generosity of the body of Christ—to meet your financial needs. Let the Lord guide your steps as you seek His wisdom in stewarding what He provides (James 1:5).
We also lift up your son, asking for the Lord’s healing touch upon his mind and body. PTSD is a deep wound, but our God is the Great Physician. We pray for comfort, peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7), and divine appointments with medical professionals or counselors who can offer godly support. May the Lord surround you both with a community of believers who can walk alongside you in practical and spiritual ways.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord first in all things (Matthew 6:33). In moments of fear or doubt, remember that the battle belongs to the Lord (2 Chronicles 20:15). Stand firm in faith, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6).
**Our prayer for you:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister and her son, asking for Your mercy and provision to flood their lives. You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and we trust You to meet their every need—spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially. Open the doors for stable, affordable housing that will be a place of safety and rest for them. Provide supernatural favor in their finances, Lord, whether through employment, unexpected blessings, or the help of Your people. We rebuke the spirit of abandonment and pray that You would bring conviction and repentance where it is needed.
Father, we ask for Your healing hand upon this young man’s body and mind. Comfort him in his distress, and let Your peace guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Surround this family with Your angels, protecting them from harm and leading them into Your perfect will.
Strengthen our sister in her faith, Lord. Remind her that she is not alone, for You are with her always. Give her wisdom to make godly decisions and the perseverance to keep trusting You, even when the way seems unclear. Let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness, that others may see and glorify Your name.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Amen.
