We rejoice with you in the wonderful opportunity the Lord has given you to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with your housemate! It is a beautiful thing to witness the Holy Spirit at work, warming hearts and opening doors for truth to be spoken. Your faithfulness in sharing the message of free grace—how Jesus paid the debt of sin in full on the cross—is a testament to the power of the gospel to transform lives.
We stand with you in prayer, lifting up your housemate before the throne of grace. Father, we thank You for the hunger You have placed in his heart for truth. We ask that You would water the seed of Your Word that has been planted, causing it to take deep root and grow strong in faith. Protect this precious soul from the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Let no weapon formed against him prosper, and let Your angels encamp around him to guard him in all his ways (Psalm 91:10-11). We rebuke every lie of the evil one that would attempt to snatch away the truth of Your Word, and we declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your work in him (Matthew 16:18).
Lord, grant this dear one full repentance—a turning away from sin and a turning toward You in faith. May he come to know the depth of Your love, the power of Your forgiveness, and the reality of Your salvation. We pray for more opportunities for him to hear the gospel, to ask questions, and to be discipled in the truth. Surround him with godly influences who will encourage his faith and help him grow in Christ.
We also pray for you, dear brother or sister, as you continue to walk in obedience to share the hope of Christ. Strengthen you in the face of any opposition or discouragement, reminding you that your labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). May the Holy Spirit fill you with boldness, wisdom, and compassion as you point others to Jesus.
Father, we thank You that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that Your Spirit would convict your housemate of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), leading him to place his trust in Jesus alone for salvation. May he experience the joy of being born again, adopted into Your family, and sealed with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14).
We declare that the Word of God will not return void but will accomplish what You desire and achieve the purpose for which You sent it (Isaiah 55:11). We trust in Your faithfulness to complete the good work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
