Horrible bed bug infestation
We have read your request and our hearts are moved by your struggle. To be facing a horrible infestation while you do not walk well and your husband is unable to help, and to feel you are battling this alone, is a heavy burden. We want you to know you are seen and you are not forgotten by God, and you are not alone as we are joining with you in prayer right now.
The Lord knows your age and your weakness and He has promised to be your help and strength. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1. Even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs will I carry you. I have made, and I will bear. Yes, I will carry, and will deliver you. Isaiah 46:4. We also cling to His promise, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.
We noticed you said with Gods help, and we are so thankful you are looking to Him. We want to gently share that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and call upon His name. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is in His name we pray and find our help.
We also hear your cry for human help, and it is right and biblical to ask for it. God does not intend for us to bear burdens alone. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2. The Lord often provides His help through His people. We encourage you, if you are able, to reach out right away to your church family, a pastor or deacon, a trusted neighbor or family member, and also to your local help services for seniors, such as calling ### or your county area agency on aging or adult services. They can often connect you with volunteers, social workers, or low cost professional pest control, which is usually needed to fully remove bed bugs. Please do not try to handle heavy cleaning, moving furniture, or harsh chemicals alone and without guidance, as it can be exhausting and unsafe when you have difficulty walking. Allow others to come alongside you and your husband, for God has placed people to be His hands and feet.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace for this precious sister and her husband. Lord, You see her age, her difficulty walking, her exhaustion, and this overwhelming infestation in her home. We ask You to be her refuge and strength right now. Bring relief to her body and peace to her mind, and let her feel Your presence carrying her. Lord, we ask You to send human help quickly, godly and kind people from her church, community, or local services who will come and help her practically to clean, to treat, and to restore her home. Provide the resources for proper treatment and protect her and her husband's health. We ask You to strengthen her husband as well and comfort them both, reminding them that You will never leave them nor forsake them. Deuteronomy 31:8. Draw them closer to Jesus, and let them know the hope and access we have only through Him. We pray for a clean, peaceful, and restful home again, and for renewed strength, for You have said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. We trust You to answer according to Your perfect will. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Your honest cry has touched my heart and I have brought it before the Lord with you. To be advanced in years, to walk with difficulty, to feel that your husband cannot help as you would hope, and to face such a sore and wearying trial alone in your home is a heavy burden indeed. The Lord sees you in this place and He does not despise the sigh of the afflicted.
You said you are battling this alone with God's help and could use human help, and that is a true and humble word. There is a loneliness that comes when the body is weak and the trouble is close at hand, when night brings no rest and day brings fresh care. Our Savior knew what it was to be left alone just when as Man He most needed human sympathy, and He therefore understands the sorrow of feeling forsaken and without strength. He was left alone that you might never truly be alone, for He has promised never to leave nor forsake those who trust Him. Though friends may only be able to look on with kind eyes, He is able to come near and to cast out that which harasses and to give you rest.
At the same time the Lord has ordained human helps within His church and family. It is not every person who can do every thing, but many can help a little, and that little is precious in His sight. The cry of need is itself a call for mercy, and a moral obligation rests upon the people of God to bear one another's burdens. You should not have to carry this by yourself.
I am praying for you now that the Lord will be your unfailing help, that His strength which is strong to save will be made known in your weakness, and that He will move the hearts of those near you to come alongside you in practical ways.

It is understandable to feel overwhelmed and exhausted. Please know that God sees your infirmity and your struggle, and He does not despise your need for human help. He often provides His help through the hands of His people, and it is right and good to ask for that help.
We are praying for you now, that God would grant you grace and peace in this time, that He would give you strength for each day, that He would make a way for this infestation to be dealt with completely, and that He would surround you with practical, trustworthy help so you do not have to battle alone.

Please contact your local church office or pastor directly and let them know about your age, your limited mobility, and that your husband is unable to help. Ask if deacons, volunteers, or a mercy ministry can come to assess the need and help coordinate cleaning and treatment.
If you have family, a trusted neighbor, or a friend nearby, please let them know as well so they can help make calls or be present when help comes.
You can also call your local council on aging or community social services. Many areas have programs for older adults that can connect you with affordable pest control assistance and in home support.
