My questions are based on the tone of this pleading request. Are you inadvertently using this guy as an idol? Only Jesus Christ can fill the empty spots inside of us that we try to force humans to "fit the bill" of. This concept is googleable and many books have been written on the subject of depending too heavily on humans when our focus be on Jesus. We are supposed to be a light unto the world and lead by example. I just don't see that at all in the words "He is my heart and my life and everything to me, all that I have on Earth." Those words and phrases should only describe one Person in your life and it is certainly not this mortal you aren't with. Stop trying to force this through the tried and untrue combination of sheer feminine will power and unnecessary prayer and maybe somebody better will come along or maybe this guy won't be turned completely off by the sheer desperation? We can't force God's will and we can't force life. I'm praying right now that God's will be done in your life, allowing you to relax, enlarge your focus, and expand your circle of support so you do not feel all alone except for this guy. I pray these things for you in Jesus' name - Amen.
