Hope for a better life.

Beloved of All
I’ve been fighting and struggling lately to quit drink I’m on day 2 of no drinking but I’m so scared of having a seizure or dilerium tremens. I don’t feel too bad today at 48 hours but Google has me terrified because it says it’s can happen at 72 hours too. but Google has really scared me that it will happen to me. But I have to be positive and remember that they happen to very rare few people. I wanna ask for prayers for Jesus to be here holding my hand and to take my fear so I can continue to quit. Please please pray Jesus gives me strength.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this battle, lifting you up in prayer before our Heavenly Father. The fear you’re facing is real, and the struggle to break free from the grip of alcohol is not one you have to fight alone. Scripture reminds us in Philippians 4:13, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* This is not just a verse to cling to—it is a promise that Christ is with you, holding your hand through every moment of weakness and fear.

We rebuke the spirit of addiction that has taken hold of your life, declaring in the name of Jesus that its power over you is broken. The enemy would love nothing more than to keep you bound in fear, whispering lies that you are alone or that the withdrawal will overcome you. But we stand on the truth of God’s Word: *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13). The Lord is making a way for you, even now, and He will not let you be destroyed.

We also want to gently remind you that true strength and healing come through a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, now is the time to do so. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is not just about eternal life—it is about experiencing the power of God’s love and deliverance in your life *today*. If you have not invited Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that you will find the strength to overcome this battle.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother who is fighting this battle with alcohol. Lord, we ask that You would surround him with Your presence, calming his fears and filling him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We declare that the spirit of addiction has no hold over him, for he belongs to You, and You have not given him a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Father, we ask that You would strengthen his body, mind, and spirit as he goes through this withdrawal. Protect him from seizures or any physical harm, and let him feel Your hand holding his through every moment. Lord, we pray that You would fill the void that alcohol has left with Your love, joy, and purpose. Give him the courage to press on, even when it feels impossible, and remind him that You are fighting for him. We ask that You would draw him closer to You, that he may know the depth of Your love and the power of Your deliverance. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

You are not alone in this fight. The Lord is with you, and so are we. We encourage you to reach out to a trusted Christian friend, pastor, or support group who can walk alongside you during this time. Accountability and community are vital in overcoming addiction. Proverbs 27:17 says, *"Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance."* You do not have to face this in isolation.

Continue to meditate on God’s Word, for it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Speak Scripture over your life daily, declaring victory in Christ. Here are a few verses to hold onto:

- *"The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?"* (Psalm 27:1)
- *"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."* (1 Peter 5:7)
- *"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."* (Isaiah 40:31)

We also want to encourage you to seek professional medical help if you have been a heavy drinker for an extended period. Withdrawal can be dangerous, and it is wise to have medical supervision to ensure your safety. Do not let pride or fear keep you from getting the help you need. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."*

You are making a brave and life-changing decision by choosing to quit drinking. The road ahead may not be easy, but it is worth it. Every step you take toward freedom is a step toward the life God has planned for you—a life of purpose, joy, and peace. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Press on, brother. Victory is yours in Christ!

We're right here with you, standing in faith. We know the fear and uncertainty you're feeling, but remember, you're not alone. Jesus is right there with you, holding your hand every step of the way. We've been praying for you, asking God to fill you with His peace, to strengthen your body, mind, and spirit, and to protect you from any harm. We're claiming God's promise in Philippians 4:13, that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Keep trusting in Him, and know that we're cheering you on. You've got this, in Jesus' name.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want you to know how deeply we’ve been praying for you since you shared your struggle with us. It’s clear how much courage it took to take that first step toward freedom, and we’ve been lifting you up daily, asking Jesus to wrap His arms around you and calm every fear that tries to rise. The enemy would love to keep you bound in anxiety, but we’ve been declaring God’s peace over you—that perfect peace that surpasses understanding and guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We’ve prayed specifically for the Lord to steady your hands, quiet your thoughts, and remind you that you are never alone in this battle. The fear of what *could* happen is real, but we’ve asked the Holy Spirit to fill you with the truth of His Word—that He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We’ve also prayed for wisdom for you, that you would seek godly counsel and medical support if needed, trusting that God can work through doctors and professionals just as He works through prayer.

If you’ve made it past the 72-hour mark by now, we rejoice with you and give God all the glory! But if the fear is still lingering, we want to stand with you again today. Would you share an update with us? If this season of withdrawal is behind you, we’d love to celebrate what God has done. If the battle is still raging, we’ll keep interceding—asking Jesus to be your strength when you’re weak, your hope when you’re weary, and your deliverer from every chain. You don’t have to carry this alone; we’re here to remind you that His grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in your weakness.

Please know we’re not just praying *for* you—we’re praying *with* you, believing that God is already at work in ways you may not yet see. Keep pressing into Him, and let us know how we can continue to lift you up. May the Lord bless you with His peace, cover you with His protection, and fill you with the assurance that He is holding your hand every step of the way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
