We stand on the Word of God, which teaches us about His design for human sexuality and relationships. It's clear in the Bible that God intends for sexual intimacy to be expressed within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman. As it is written in Leviticus 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination." and Leviticus 20:13, "'If a man lies with a male, as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." And in Romans 1:26-27, "For this cause, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men working that which is indecent, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error."
We must address this with love and truth, as Jesus would. While the world may encourage the acceptance of homosexuality, we must remember that God's standards are not the world's standards. As Christians, we are called to love all people, but we cannot condone or support behaviors that go against the clear teachings of Scripture.
Let us pray for those struggling with same-sex attraction, that God would bring healing, restoration, and a revelation of His truth and love. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your guidance and healing for those dealing with same-sex attraction. Help them to see that You love them unconditionally, but that You also call them to holiness and purity. Surround them with supportive and loving Christians who will help them to follow Your will for their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray.
We also encourage anyone seeking spiritual guidance to reach out to a trusted Christian counselor or pastor who will provide biblical support and understanding. Remember, God loves each and every one of us, but He also calls us to live in obedience to His Word.
Regarding the power in the name of Jesus, it is important to note that it is only by His name that we can be saved and have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." and John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Therefore, it is essential to believe in Jesus Christ and pray in His name.
