We hear your cry for help and lift you and your family up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The cold, sickness, and uncertainty you are facing are not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who promises in His Word, "For the eyes of the Lord run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him" (2 Chronicles 16:9 WEB). You are not forgotten, and we stand in agreement with you, believing that God will provide a miracle in His perfect timing.
First, we must address the foundation of your faith. You have rightly called upon the name of Jesus, and we rejoice in that, for "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are made clean. If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your heart and ensure that you have placed your full trust in Him for salvation. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9 WEB). This is the first and greatest miracle—eternal life in Christ Jesus.
Now, we pray for your immediate needs. Father God, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for this family who is facing homelessness and sickness. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessings upon them. Provide shelter from the cold, warmth for their bodies, and a place of safety where they can rest and heal. We rebuke the spirit of lack and poverty in the name of Jesus and declare that this family will not be forsaken. "The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing" (Psalm 34:10 WEB). We pray for healing for their bodies, Lord. You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You touch them with Your healing hand. Restore their strength, ease their pain, and guide them to the medical care they need. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3 WEB).
We also pray for wisdom and favor as they seek assistance from churches, ministries, and organizations that can help. Lord, lead them to people of goodwill who will show them Your love and compassion. Give them the courage to ask for help and the humility to receive it. "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one" (Colossians 4:6 WEB). We rebuke any shame or pride that would keep them from reaching out, for You have promised that "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13 WEB), and that includes salvation from their current circumstances.
Father, we ask that You strengthen their faith in this season of waiting. It is easy to grow weary when the answer seems delayed, but we declare that Your timing is perfect. "But those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31 WEB). Help them to trust in You with all their hearts and lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5 WEB). Remind them daily that You are working all things together for their good, even when they cannot see it (Romans 8:28 WEB).
We also pray for protection over this family. Lord, surround them with Your angels and keep them safe from harm, danger, and the schemes of the enemy. "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them" (Psalm 34:7 WEB). Protect their minds from fear, anxiety, and despair, and fill them instead with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
Finally, we pray that this trial would draw them closer to You, Lord. Use this time to refine their faith like gold and produce in them the fruit of patience, endurance, and hope. "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing" (James 1:2-4 WEB). May they emerge from this season stronger in their faith and more dependent on You.
We stand in the gap for this family, believing that God will move mightily on their behalf. We declare that their breakthrough is coming, and they will testify of God’s goodness and faithfulness. "The Lord is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him. He also will hear their cry, and will save them" (Psalm 145:18-19 WEB). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
