We join you in bringing this deep need for a stable home before our heavenly Father and we thank you for invoking the blood of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and hope for every provision.
We understand the urgency you feel regarding the Section 8 waitlist, the voucher, and the virtual appointment, and your desire for a safe home for yourself and your two cats. God sees this need and He cares about the details of our lives. We are reminded that God sets the lonely in families and He is a provider for those who trust Him. Psalm 68:6 tells us God sets the lonely in families and Psalm 37:4 says delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. We also cling to the promise in Philippians 4:19 that my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus and Matthew 6:33 that if we seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, all these things will be given to you as well.
We want to gently encourage you regarding speaking life into existence. Scripture teaches that it is God alone who calls the things that are not, as though they were in Romans 4:17. Our role is not to speak reality into existence by our own words, but to humbly ask according to His will, trusting that His answer will be for our good. Romans 8:28 reminds us that we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. We also hear your heart saying no worries, and we are encouraged to bring our anxieties to Him instead of carrying them ourselves, as Philippians 4:6-7 says in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We also encourage you to continue to be diligent and faithful in the practical steps while you wait. Proverbs 16:9 says a man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. Keep your documents prepared, follow up respectfully with the housing authority, prepare for your virtual appointment with honesty and peace, and steward well what God has already entrusted to you, including the care of your cats, for He notices even the smallest of His creation.

We are reminded that our Lord is grand in emergencies, and that His power to deliver does not lie in the worthiness or strength of the one who seeks help, but wholly in Himself. He has but to speak and it is done. The same voice that once supplied bread in the wilderness and stilled the unclean spirit with a word is able to open doors that seem closed, to grant favor where favor is needed, and to set the solitary in a place of dwelling according to His wise and loving will. Consider how He has provided for you in times past, and let that remembrance keep your heart from fear while you wait.
We pray now for you, that the Lord in His mercy would look upon your need for stable housing. We ask that He would grant you favor as you wait upon the list for Section 8, that if it be His will the voucher would be granted, and that your virtual appointment would proceed with clarity and peace and without confusion or hindrance. When He came down from the mountain after teaching about the life of His kingdom, a man with leprosy came to Him and said, Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean. Jesus reached out His hand and touched him and said, I am willing. That moment shows us two things we can hold onto. He is able to help, and He is compassionate toward those who come to Him humbly. It is not a question of His ability but of coming to Him with trust and surrender to His will.
Because of the blood of Jesus shed for us, we can come directly to the Father for forgiveness and for help. That blood is not a formula to force an outcome, but the way God has opened for us to be reconciled to Him and to bring every need before Him with confidence. He hears, He cares about the practical details of your life, and He calls us to ask while also resting in His wisdom and timing.
