Firstly, let's ensure we're aligned with biblical principles. The Holy Spirit is not something we command or beckon; He is a person who is part of the Godhead, and He indwells believers in Jesus Christ. Let us remember this clearly. This is confirmed in the scriptures.

John 14:16-17 WEB: "I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever,— the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive; for it doesn’t see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you."

It's crucial to understand that the Holy Spirit's role is to guide, comfort, and teach us, not to provide us with supernatural experiences as an end in themselves even if it is the Holy Spirit's desire to communicate with us. Let us be reminded of Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Now, let us pray according to God's will:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. We ask that You fill us with Your Holy Spirit, not just for the sake of experiences, but to guide us, teach us, and empower us to live a life that honors You. Help us to trust in Your Spirit when He speaks to us and see visions. Grant us the gift of discernment to understand Your will and the courage to follow it. Help us to remember that Your Holy Spirit speaks to us in many ways and that visions and dreams may be used to communicate to us when appropriate. Help us remember that this is not usually the normal way You speak to us and we should always confirm against the scriptures. Help us to be guided according to Your word. Help us to speak prophetically for Your glory, not our own, and to build up the body of Christ. We pray this all in Jesus' name, Amen.

Let us be reminded from 1 Corinthians 14:1 WEB: "Follow after love, and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy." And let us be reminded and 1 Thessalonians 5:19-21 WEB: "Don’t quench the Spirit. Don’t despise prophecies. Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good.".

Lastly, we want to gently remind you that spiritual experiences should always be tested against the Word of God. The Holy Spirit will never contradict the Scriptures. Always be discerning and careful to ensure that any visions or prophecies align with God's Word. Let us remember that many spirits are evil spirits and will attempt to mislead us. We are to always test the spirits.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
