Beloved of All
"We bow our knees to the Glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom our whole family of true believers in heaven and earth is named, asking He would grant us, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power 🧨 and might through His Spirit in the inner person, that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all those God has made holy, what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ 💞 which passes knowledge; that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen," Eph 3:14-20.

We join with you in bowing our knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ in this powerful and beautiful prayer from Eph 3:14-20, and we count it a joy to agree with you for the very things the apostle Paul prayed for the church.

What a glorious request to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner person. We are reminded that though our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day, 2 Cor 4:16, and that the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead dwells in us, Rom 8:11. This is not a strength we can muster ourselves, but according to the riches of His glory, Eph 3:16, an abundant, supernatural might for endurance, holiness, and joy.

We pray together that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith, Eph 3:17, not merely visiting but making His home there, taking up residence as Lord. As we are rooted and grounded in love we are able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, Eph 3:18-19. His love is too vast to fully measure, yet we can grow daily in experiencing it, for God is love, 1 John 4:16, and nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord, Rom 8:39.

And we agree with you for that wonderful fullness, that we may be filled with all the fullness of God, Eph 3:19, filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit, not drunk with wine but filled with the Spirit, Eph 5:18, walking in the power that transforms us and bears fruit.

We pray together now, Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, we bow our knees before You, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named. Grant us according to the riches of Your glory to be strengthened with power through Your Spirit in our inner persons, that Christ may truly dwell in our hearts through faith. Root us and ground us in Your love, open the eyes of our hearts to comprehend with all Your holy people the breadth and length and height and depth of the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge. Fill us with all Your fullness, Lord, that Your life and love would overflow from us to a world in need. We thank You that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, Eph 3:20. To You be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

We were so encouraged to read the prayer you shared. What a beautiful longing to be strengthened on the inside, for Christ to be at home in our hearts through faith, and to grasp more of His love that is wider and deeper than we can fully take in.

We are praying with you for that very work. We know that kind of rootedness does not happen all at once. It grows as we stay near the Lord and let His Spirit shape us with truth and with love that shows itself in patience, kindness and peace in daily life. We thank God for your heart that asks this not only for yourself but for the whole family of believers together.

We will keep asking with you that He does abundantly more than we can ask or imagine by His power at work in us.

If it is helpful, you might keep this prayer in front of you this week and pray it simply in your own words each morning, for yourself and for your family and church family by name, and notice what the Lord brings to mind as you do.

Father, we bow before You and ask that You strengthen our friend by Your Spirit on the inside, make Your presence real in their heart through faith, and help them know more of Christ's love. Fill them with Your fullness and receive glory in their life, in Jesus' name, Amen.

We join you in bowing our knees before the Glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and we make this prayer of the Apostle our own on your behalf.

How needful is this petition, for we are such weak things that we cannot glorify Christ, nor even comprehend His love, without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit teaches us not to magnify outward rites or mere doctrine, but to magnify Christ Himself. He takes the veil from our hearts that we may see Christ, and He shows us the love of Christ which passes knowledge. A single word of Christ set in the light of the Holy Spirit shines like a fixed star, and happy are those who read it there.

Therefore we pray that according to the riches of His glory, the Father would grant you to be strengthened with power and might through His Spirit in the inner person. For only when the Holy Spirit comes is there any life and force and power to live unto God. Without Him we utterly fail, but when He strengthens the inner man, Christ dwells in our hearts through faith, and we are rooted and grounded in love.

We ask also that you may be able with all the saints to comprehend what is the width and length and depth and height, and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge. It is very sweet when the Holy Spirit shows us how intensely Christ loves His people, and He alone can make that love known to the soul. And we pray that you may be filled with all the fullness of God, for a holy man is the workmanship of the Holy Spirit, and He delights to fill those whom Christ has redeemed.

Let us then cry mightily unto God for this, and pray in the Holy Spirit, keeping ourselves in the love of God, and taking care not to grieve that blessed Spirit by unbelief or coldness of heart toward Christ. He is given more largely now that Jesus is glorified at the right hand of the Father, and He waits to strengthen and to enlighten and to comfort those who seek Him.

We commend you to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. To Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer from Ephesians is itself taught by the Spirit, and it is good that you have taken it upon your lips. The apostle bowed his knees to the Father, from whom every family in heaven and earth is named, and asked for what we most need, not outward prosperity but inward strength.

I pray with you that according to the riches of His glory you may be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner person. For our soul is meant to be a dwelling for Christ Himself, and He desires to be round about us as a garment and within us as life. This comes through faith, when we receive Him with assurance and keep His commandments and hold to His word.

Being rooted and grounded in love, you will be made able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height, and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge. This love is indeed beyond all human understanding, and yet it is made known to us when Christ dwells in us by the Holy Spirit. As we grow in love and in every virtue of which God is full, we come to know more of Him who loves us, though His love remains ever greater than we can measure.

And so I ask that you may be filled to all the fullness of God, filled with the knowledge of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and filled with every virtue, lacking nothing that God would have in His people. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

May He keep you in faith, establish you in love, and cause Christ to dwell continually in your heart, that your life may bring glory to Him in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all generations. Amen.
