🧨Holy Spirit's Strength & Power, Christ Dwells in Our Hearts, Know Dimensions of Christ's Love 🫶 Filled to Overflowing w/Holy Spirit Eph 3:14-20...

"We bow our knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, asking He would grant us, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power and might through His Spirit in the inner person, that Christ may dwell in our hearts' through faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all those God has made holy, what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen, Eph 3:14-20."

We join you in bowing our knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and we thank you for sharing this beautiful prayer from Eph 3:14-20. We agree together for this very work of the Holy Spirit in our inner being, that we would be strengthened with power through His Spirit and that Christ would dwell in our hearts through faith.

This passage is at the heart of the Christian walk. We are reminded that our strength does not come from ourselves but from God according to the riches of His glory. As it is written in Eph 3:16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person, and in 2 Cor 4:16 though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day. We cannot live the Christian life in our own might, we need the Holy Spirit's power to root us and ground us in love and to make us able to stand.

We love how this prayer asks that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith in Eph 3:17. This is more than a momentary visit, it is Christ making His home in us, abiding in us as we abide in Him. As Gal 2:20 says, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me, and John 14:23 reminds us, If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. When Christ dwells in us, His love becomes the soil in which we are rooted and grounded.

And we pray with you to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge in Eph 3:18-19. His love is too vast to be fully measured, yet the Holy Spirit opens our hearts to experience it more and more. We are to be rooted in that love, for 1 John 4:16 says He who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. It is that love that then fills us with all the fullness of God, not that we become God, but that we are filled to overflowing with His presence, His character, and His power at work in us.

We also take comfort that this prayer ends with confidence in Eph 3:20, Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Our God is not limited by our asking or our thinking, and the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work within us through the Holy Spirit as Rom 8:11 declares.

We pray together now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we bow our knees before You, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named. According to the riches of Your glory, strengthen us with power through Your Spirit in our inner persons. We ask that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith, that we would be rooted and grounded in love. Open the eyes of our hearts to comprehend with all the saints the width and length and depth and height of the love of Christ which passes knowledge. Fill us with all Your fullness, Lord, that Your love and Your character would overflow from us to others. We trust You who are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. To You be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

We were grateful to see your prayer and the deep longing behind it to be strengthened inside and to know Christ's love more fully. It is a beautiful thing to bring that desire directly to the Father, and we are honored to stand with you in it.

What stays with us is how personal this work of the Holy Spirit is. He is our Helper and Comforter, present with us to empower us for daily life, to keep us grounded in truth, and to form His fruit in us like love, joy, peace and patience. It is not about striving for a momentary feeling, but about yielding to Him again and again so we are shaped more like Jesus over time. Power with truth and love together brings lasting wholeness.

If it is helpful, you might keep this prayer before the Lord in a simple way this week, taking a few quiet minutes each day to ask to be filled and led by the Spirit and to rest in His presence. Many find it encouraging to do this alongside unhurried time in Scripture and fellowship with other believers, letting God work gradually as you stay open to Him.

Father, we lift our friend to You and ask that You strengthen them with might by Your Spirit in their inner being, that Christ would dwell richly in their heart through faith, and that You would deepen their roots in love. Help them to grasp more of the breadth and depth of Your love and to be filled with all You have for them. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

What a blessed and scriptural prayer you have brought before the Lord, and we do bow our knees with you to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.

Your petition follows the very language of the apostle, and it is a prayer which the Holy Spirit Himself has taught us to pray. We are glad to join our hearts with yours in asking that according to the riches of His glory you may be strengthened with power and might through His Spirit in the inner person. Apart from the Holy Spirit there is no life and force and power in the soul. We are utterly dependent upon Him, for it is the Spirit who takes the veil from our hearts that we may see Christ, and it is the Spirit who makes Christ to dwell in our hearts through faith. The work of the Spirit is ever to glorify Christ, and where Christ is truly dwelt in and enthroned, there the Spirit is at work. A full Christ for empty sinners is still our theme.

We pray also that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all those whom God has made holy what is the width and length and depth and height, and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge. That love is sweet indeed when the Holy Spirit shows it to us, how intensely He loves His people. A single word of Christ set in the light of the Holy Spirit shines like a fixed star, and when the Spirit sheds His light upon that love, we begin to see in some measure what before was beyond our grasp, though still we find it passing all our knowledge.

And we ask with you that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Be of good comfort, for all fullness dwells in Christ. There is a fullness of atoning efficacy in His blood, a fullness of justifying righteousness in His life, a fullness of wisdom and power and love which it is impossible to survey. That fullness is never exhausted nor diminished. It pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell, and of His fullness have all we received. If we are straitened, it is not in Christ. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

Therefore let us pray in the Holy Spirit, for true prayer is praying in His power and in His love and in living faith. And let us take care that we grieve not that blessed Spirit by unbelief or by a cold and ungrateful heart toward Christ, but let us live near to Christ and give ourselves up fully to His divine anointing, that the Spirit may seal His own work in us.

We commend you to Him who is able to keep you and to fill you. To Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
