Beloved
🧎🏽‍♂️"We bow our knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, asking He would grant us, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power and might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in our hearts' through faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen, Eph 3:14-20."

We lift our hearts in unity with your cry for the Holy Spirit’s strength and power, for Christ to dwell richly in our hearts, and for the fullness of God to overflow within us. Your prayer echoes the apostle Paul’s own longing in Ephesians 3:14-20, and we join you in this sacred pursuit. The dimensions of Christ’s love, its width, length, depth, and height, are beyond human comprehension, yet God invites us to know them intimately through faith. This is not merely intellectual knowledge but an experiential, transformative encounter with the living God.

Father, we come before You, the giver of every perfect gift, and ask that You would strengthen us with power through Your Spirit in our inner beings. May Christ take His rightful place in our hearts, not as a distant figure, but as Lord and Savior who reigns in every thought, desire, and action. Root us deeply in Your love, so that we may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy and the temptations of this world. Let us not be satisfied with superficial faith but press on to know the fullness of Your presence, which surpasses all understanding.

We recognize that this journey requires surrender, laying down our own agendas, our pride, and our sin at the foot of the cross. For some, this may mean repenting of relationships that do not honor You, whether through fornication, adultery, or pursuing unions that contradict Your design for marriage between one man and one woman. Your Word is clear: "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). If there are areas where we have strayed from Your will, convict us, Lord, and lead us back to holiness.

For those who are single, we pray that You would prepare their hearts for godly marriage, should that be Your will. May they not settle for mere companionship but seek a spouse who shares their faith and commitment to Christ. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). Let their courtship be marked by purity, patience, and a shared pursuit of Your kingdom.

We also rebuke any spirit of complacency or lukewarmness in our midst. The love of Christ compels us to live fully for Him, not just in word but in deed. If there are areas where we have grown weary or distracted, renew our passion for You, Lord. Let us not be content with mere religious activity but hunger and thirst for righteousness, knowing that we will be filled (Matthew 5:6).

And to You, O God, who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, we give all glory. May Your power work mightily in us, transforming us into vessels of Your love and grace. Let our lives reflect the reality of Christ dwelling in us, so that the world may see and know that You are alive and active today.

We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You, the only name by which we are saved. "For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). May we never forget that our access to the Father is through the Son, and may we live in the fullness of that truth every day. Amen.

Thank you for lifting this beautiful prayer from Ephesians. We join you in bowing our knees and asking for exactly what Paul prayed: that the Spirit would strengthen you deep within, that Christ would feel more at home in your heart, and that you'd begin to grasp how wide and long and high and deep His love really is. That's a prayer we can all keep returning to, because none of us ever outgrows our need for it.

Sometimes we pray big, sweeping words like these and then wonder what to do with them. One simple thing that often helps is to take this passage and walk through it slowly each day, pausing to put it in your own words. As you do, pay attention to what tugs at you, maybe you realize you need a fresh sense of Christ's nearness right now, or you've been bracing against suffering and need to rest in being "rooted and grounded in love." Those small moments of honesty can open the door for the Spirit to do His quiet, strengthening work.

Because we grow best in community, letting someone else pray this with you or for you can make a deep difference. You might ask a trusted friend or a small group to pray it over the week. Knowing that others are kneeling on your behalf often anchors us when our own prayers feel thin. And as you pray, don't be surprised if growth comes in a quiet, cyclical way, sometimes we circle back over old ground only to find we're going deeper. That isn't failure; it's the Spirit tilling the soil.

Let's pray: Father, thank You that You are able to do far more than we can ask or even think. Strengthen us through Your Spirit in the places we feel weak or hollow today. Let Christ settle deeply in our hearts through trust, and root us in love so that we begin to taste its dimensions. Fill us with all Your fullness, not as an abstract idea but as a lived reality. In Jesus' name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

What a mighty prayer is this, that we might be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man! There is a fullness in Christ: fullness of Deity, fullness of atoning blood, fullness of justifying righteousness, fullness of comfort and power. Of His fullness have all we received. Yet how needful that Christ may dwell in our hearts by faith, for it is faith that opens the door, and when He enters He brings all His treasures with Him.

You crave to comprehend the breadth, length, depth, and height of His love. That love is boundless and infinite, beyond all measurement, yet the Spirit enables the saints to know it. It is a love that was fixed upon us before the world began, a love that gave Himself for us. It is not merely a general love to men, but a personal love: "He loved me, and gave Himself for me." A wife does not think herself selfish for rejoicing in her husband's love; neither is a saint selfish for resting in the love of Christ. This love, once tasted, begets love in return, and we love Him because He first loved us.

To be filled with all the fullness of God, here is a prayer so high that only the Almighty can answer it. Yet He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think. All fullness dwells in Christ Jesus, and it is never diminished nor exhausted. It is there for the sinner who seeks mercy, there for the saint who needs grace. You need not bring anything but your emptiness; He is all fullness, and He waits to impart Himself to those who look to Him.

See to it that you trust yourself wholly into the hands of Christ. Let faith grasp His love, and your heart shall be rooted and grounded in it. The Spirit will strengthen you in the inner man, and you shall know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, and be filled with all the fullness of God. Then shall your life become a doxology, giving glory to Him in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.
