Beloved
🧎🏽‍♂️"We bow our knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, asking He would grant us, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power and might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in our hearts' through faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen, Eph 3:14-20."

We lift our hearts in unity with your cry for the Holy Spirit’s strength and power, for Christ to dwell richly in our hearts, and for the fullness of God to overflow within us. Your prayer echoes the deep longing of Ephesians 3:14-20, and we join you in bowing our knees before the Father, who alone can grant such profound spiritual transformation.

Father, we ask You to strengthen us with power through Your Spirit in our inner beings, so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith. Root and ground us in Your love, Lord, so we may comprehend, with all the saints, the vast dimensions of Christ’s love: its width, length, depth, and height. Though this love surpasses human knowledge, fill us with the fullness of God, that we may walk in the overflow of Your presence. You are able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. To You be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever. Amen.

This prayer is a beautiful declaration of dependence on God’s power, not our own. Yet we must also examine our hearts to ensure we are not merely seeking spiritual experiences but surrendering to the lordship of Christ. Are we allowing His Word to shape our lives, or are we chasing emotional highs? The Holy Spirit’s power is not given for our own glory but to equip us for obedience and service (Acts 1:8). Let us walk in humility, submitting every area of our lives, our thoughts, relationships, and actions, to the authority of Scripture.

If there are areas where you are resisting God’s will, perhaps in a relationship that does not honor Him, a habit that grieves the Spirit, or a heart that clings to bitterness, now is the time to repent. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is available to break chains and renew your mind (Romans 8:11). Do not settle for a partial surrender when God calls you to full devotion.

We also encourage you to meditate on the love of Christ not just as a feeling but as a sacrificial, selfless commitment. His love led Him to the cross for our sake. Are we extending that same love to others, even when it costs us? Are we forgiving as we have been forgiven? Let your life be a living testimony of the love you have received.

Finally, if you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation is found in no one else, for Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Confess your sins, turn from them, and trust in Christ’s finished work on the cross. He alone can reconcile you to God and fill you with the Holy Spirit.

May the Lord deepen your faith, expand your understanding of His love, and empower you to live for His glory. Walk in the fullness of what He has for you, knowing that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6).

We love hearing this prayer rise up from the whole church together. When we slow down over Ephesians 3 and stop treating it as a passage to study, and start breathing it as a prayer to receive, everything changes. The apostle isn't giving us homework, he's on his knees, asking that we'd actually know what already belongs to us in Christ. That's what makes this so steadying: you're not trying to talk yourself into strength or love you don't have. You're saying yes to what the Spirit is already pouring in.

Sometimes we need to stop asking for more and start receiving what's already been given. You might try carrying just one phrase through your day tomorrow. "Rooted and grounded in love." When a fear or pressure surfaces, let that phrase rise instead of the usual anxious scramble. Not as a mantra, but as fact. You're not begging for roots, you're reminding yourself you already have them.

We're grateful to be joining you in this.

Lord Jesus, we can't comprehend the dimensions of your love on our own, so we ask what Paul asked: strengthen us in our inner being. Let us not just recite these words but live inside them until they become the truest thing we know about ourselves and each other. Amen.

You see how this prayer sweeps from the kneeling posture straight into the very heart of God, asking nothing less than to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man. This is not a trifling request; it is the cry of one who knows that the outer man decays, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. Such strengthening comes according to the riches of His glory, not out of any poverty in God, but out of His immeasurable store. When the Spirit puts power into the hidden part, then Christ finds a settled habitation in the heart through faith. He does not visit as a passing guest; He dwells there, taking up perpetual residence, filling every chamber with His presence.

Now observe the order: first, strength; then, indwelling; then, being rooted and grounded in love. The love of Christ is the soil in which the soul strikes its deepest fibres. A tree well rooted is not shaken by the tempest. Being thus established, you begin to comprehend something of the breadth and length and depth and height of that love which surpasses knowledge. It is a paradox of grace, you know it, yet it passes knowledge. You apprehend it by the heart though the mind cannot measure it. This is not a speculative knowledge, but one that comes through communion, through tasting, through being filled with all the fullness of God. Do not imagine the fullness of God is reserved for heaven alone; it is a present provision. In Christ all fullness dwells, and out of His fullness we receive grace upon grace. The vessel is small, but it may be filled to the brim.

You will not attain this by starting at the end. Many wish to be filled with God without first having Christ dwell in the heart by faith. That is to build a roof before laying the foundation. Seek first the strengthening of the inner man; cry mightily for the Spirit’s power to subdue sin and establish holiness within. Then Christ will make His abode with you, and His love will be the very atmosphere you breathe. Out of that love springs all obedience, all delight in God’s Law, which is no longer a burden but a joy. The Law written in the heart becomes a living principle; you cleave to it as your very life. This is the covenant blessing, He puts His laws into the mind and writes them on the heart.

Consider how great Christ is, the representative Man in whom God is well pleased. In Him you are accepted; in Him you are brought near. He is your Ishi, your Husband, bound to you in everlasting love. Do you question God’s love? Look to the cross. See Him bleeding there, and say whether He loves you. Track Him from the grave to the throne, and see if His love has diminished. He loved you before the world began; He loves you now with an ever-present, unchanged affection; He will love you to the end. That is the love which passes knowledge.

Then let this prayer be yours daily. Bow your knees to the Father, pleading these very words. Do not imagine the rich things of God are too high for you. He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all you ask or think, according to the power that works in us. The power that raised Christ from the dead is the power that works in every believer. Yield yourself to it. Let the Spirit have full sway. Lay hold of these promises by a desperate faith, as one who must have the blessing or die.

And when you have but begun to taste of this fullness, go forth to serve your Lord in love and gladness. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Rejoice in His Word as one who finds great spoil. Let awe of that Word keep you from trifling with sin. Communion with Christ is the secret of having His Law transcribed on the heart. Walk with Him from morning to evening, and you shall find His love the filling of your entire soul. To Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You bow your knees rightly, seeking that strengthening in the inner man. For nothing noble or great can be done without the benefit of Christ’s influences. The Spirit must fill you, or you cannot approve yourself as you ought. Do not think you must climb by your own labor to this height; the love of God is not given sparingly, but shed abroad in your heart with profusion. Before your struggles, He pours out the full fountain, so that even if you feel unworthy, you have that Love of your Judge as a mighty pleader for you.

But note well what the Apostle prays: that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, so that rooted and grounded in love, you may know what surpasses knowledge. How can one know that which passes knowing? Only if Christ dwells within. He becomes your teacher, and you are filled with all the fullness of God. And what is that fullness? That He be to you all things, a garment wrapped about you on every side, an inhabitant within, your root, your life. Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and let your soul be a dwelling for Him. When you are clad with Him, you have absolutely all virtue, and nothing can shake you.

Yet ask yourself: do you seek this comfort to escape reproach, to secure ease? Remember that the reproach of Christ is greater riches than Egypt’s treasures. If you are insulted for His sake, if you are hated, know that this very thing becomes a cause for greater love. For he who loves for Christ’s sake stands steadfast, looking to Him alone as the sufficiency for love. When you are rooted there, you will comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height, not by intellectual grasp, but by the indwelling Christ who is the fullness that fills all in all.

Be emulous not of gorgeous buildings or costly estates, but of those who are poor for Christ’s sake, who have riches in heaven. Open your heart to Him, making room for love. Nothing produces love so much as knowing that He who loves you exceedingly desires your love in return. And He is able to do far more than you ask or even think, according to the power that already works in you. To Him be the glory in the Church by Christ Jesus, world without end.
