🙏 "We bow our knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, asking He would grant us, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power and might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in our hearts' through faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen, Eph 3:14-20."

We rejoice in your heart’s cry to be strengthened by the Holy Spirit and to know the fullness of Christ’s love as declared in Ephesians 3:14-20. This passage is a powerful reminder of the depth of God’s love and the limitless power He makes available to those who believe. We join with you in bowing our knees before the Father, asking Him to grant us the same, strength through His Spirit, the indwelling of Christ in our hearts, and the ability to grasp the vast dimensions of His love.

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that it is only through Him that we have access to You. We thank You for the riches of Your glory and ask that You would strengthen each of us with power through Your Spirit in our inner being. Let Christ dwell in our hearts through faith, rooting and grounding us in love. May we, together with all the saints, comprehend the width, length, depth, and height of Your love, though it surpasses knowledge, so that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. We declare that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. To You be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

This prayer is not just a request for personal empowerment but a corporate cry for the body of Christ to walk in the fullness of what God has made available. The dimensions of Christ’s love are not merely intellectual concepts but realities meant to transform our lives. When we are filled with the fullness of God, we overflow with His love, grace, and power, impacting the world around us for His glory.

We encourage you to meditate on this passage daily, allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal more of Christ’s love to you. Remember, it is not by our own strength or wisdom that we grasp these truths, but by the Spirit who searches the deep things of God (1 Corinthians 2:10). Let this truth anchor you in times of weakness or doubt, knowing that Christ’s love is unshakable and His power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

If there are areas in your life where you struggle to experience this fullness, perhaps due to sin, unbelief, or worldly distractions, we urge you to bring them before the Lord in repentance and faith. Confess any known sin, renounce any agreement with the enemy, and invite the Holy Spirit to fill every part of your heart. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9), and His grace is sufficient to restore and renew us.

Let us also remember that this fullness is not for our benefit alone. As we are filled with the Spirit, we are called to be witnesses of Christ’s love and power to a lost and broken world (Acts 1:8). May our lives reflect the glory of God, drawing others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

We stand with you in this journey, believing that God will do far more than we can imagine as we surrender to His will and walk in His ways. Keep pressing into Him, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

Thank you for this prayer, it’s a deep, life-shaping passage, and we often return to it ourselves. There’s something steadying about asking for Christ to truly dwell in our hearts and to know a love that surpasses knowledge. It reminds us that spiritual growth isn’t a solo project. Paul prayed these words for the whole church, all of us, together, so that we’d be rooted and grounded as a community in that love. That takes the pressure off; we don’t have to drum up perfect feelings or get our doctrine just right first. We simply bow with others and ask.

One simple way to let this prayer do its work is to read it aloud with a small group of friends or family this week. Let each phrase sink in for a moment, and then let it become your shared prayer for one another. Sometimes our imaginations of God’s love grow clearest when we hear someone else pray it over us.

Lord Jesus, we kneel with the writer and with all who are hungry to know the width and length and height and depth of your love. Strengthen us in our inner being by your Spirit; make your home in our hearts through faith. Surround us with others who will pray this with us, so that together we begin to grasp what goes beyond knowledge. Fill us to overflowing, not just for our own comfort but so your glory shines in the church across every generation. We trust you to do far more than we can ask or imagine. In your name, Amen.

You are kneeling at the right gate, and with the right words upon your lips. This prayer you have sent up, this cry from Ephesians, is not the language of a stranger, but the native tongue of a child who knows the Father's house and longs to move from the outer courts into the very bosom of it. You are asking for strength in the inner man, and that is no small thing. The inner man is the citadel of the whole castle; the inner man is the helm of the great ship. When the Holy Spirit lays His hand there, the whole vessel answers to His will, and even contrary winds begin to serve your course. You have already felt that touch, or you would not be asking for more of it. So be glad, the desire itself is a pledge that He is at work.

And mark what the strengthening is for. It is that Christ may dwell in your heart by faith. Not visit, not look in for an hour, but dwell, take up His rest, spread His table, light His fire on the hearth of your affections. I have known a poor cottage become a palace because love lived there, and I have known a dull room grow bright simply because a dear friend settled himself in the chair by the window and made himself at home. That is what your Lord would do in you. He does not wait for the heart to be swept and garnished perfectly; He brings His own sweet order with Him. He gathers the myrrh and the spice, the honey and the honeycomb. The honey may be mixed with wax, and the wine may not be the finest of the vintage, but He takes them as His own, and His presence sanctifies the offering. He knows your weakness; He accepts your faith with all its clinging imperfections.

But you want more, you want to comprehend the dimensions of that love which surpasses knowledge. You have set your foot on the lowest rung of Jacob's ladder, and you are looking up. I would not have you look down. The love of Christ is a sea, and the further you wade into it, the deeper it becomes. You may not measure it, but you may be enveloped by it. He loves you with a special love, a husband-like love, singular and set apart. He says of you as He says of His whole Church, “My vineyard, which is mine, is before me.” That means His eye is fixed on you with an intent, a delight, a watchful tenderness that never slumbers. When you cannot see Him, He sees you. When you cannot hold onto Him, He holds onto you.

And yet the prayer climbs higher still: “filled to all the fullness of God.” That is a dizzy height. But it is not you climbing, it is God filling. Picture a vessel sunk in the ocean, full of the ocean, yet not containing the ocean. So your heart, plunged in God, can be filled with His own peace, His own love, His own life. The rush of that fullness will overflow, and out of your innermost being shall flow rivers of living water. That is His promise, not your striving.

You may feel small and wholly unequal to such mercies. But look at the close of your own prayer. It rests not on your ability to rise, but on His ability to do, exceeding abundantly above all you ask or think, according to the power that works in us. The power is already at work within you, or you would not have breathed this prayer at all. The tiny seed of longing was planted by His own hand, and He will water it till it becomes a spreading tree.

Now, let me turn that prayer back to the Lord with you, for I need it as much as you do.

Lord, Thou who art Love itself, strengthen this dear soul with might by Thy Spirit in the inner man. Let Christ make His permanent home in the heart by faith. Root and ground the whole life in love, until the roots go deep and the foundation stands unmovable against every storm. Grant a growing glimpse of the vastness, width, length, depth, height, of the love of Christ that passes knowing, yet draws us to know it better. And fill, O fill this waiting vessel with all the fullness of God, until it spills over in praise, in patience, in kindness, in hope. To Thee be glory in the church, and in this cherished one's life, world without end. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are deeply moved by your earnest prayer, rooted in the rich truths of Ephesians 3, and we count it a sacred privilege to have stood with you before the Father’s throne these past days. What a beautiful cry of the heart—to be strengthened with the Holy Spirit’s power in your inner being, to have Christ dwell in your heart through faith, and to grasp the vast dimensions of His love that surpasses knowledge! We have lifted this very passage before the Lord on your behalf, asking Him to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that you could ask or think as you seek to walk in His fullness.

If the Lord has already begun to answer this prayer—if you sense His Spirit’s might fortifying your soul, if Christ’s presence feels more real and near, or if His love has become more tangible in its width, length, depth, and height—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Let us rejoice together in how He is filling you with all His fullness!

If, however, the answer still feels distant or the longing remains unmet, we invite you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, standing in agreement as you press into the Father’s heart. He is faithful, and His power is at work within you. May He deepen your roots in His love, expand your understanding of Christ’s dwelling in you, and pour out His Spirit in overflowing measure.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, trusting that He who began this good work in you will bring it to completion. Amen.
