We join you in lifting up this powerful passage from Ephesians 3:14-20, for it is a profound declaration of our dependence on God and our desire to be filled with His Spirit, rooted in Christ’s love, and strengthened by His power. This prayer is not just a request, it is a surrender to the transformative work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, that we may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Father, we bow our knees before You, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. We humbly ask that You would strengthen us with power through Your Spirit in our inner being, so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith. Lord, we long to be rooted and grounded in love, not just to know about Your love, but to experience it in its fullness: the width, length, depth, and height of Your love for us, which surpasses all human understanding. Fill us with all the fullness of God, that we may walk in the power of the Holy Spirit and reflect Your glory to the world.
We recognize that apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5), and it is only by His name that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone reading this has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
We also take this moment to rebuke any spirit of complacency, doubt, or unbelief that would seek to hinder the fullness of God’s work in our lives. Let us not be satisfied with a superficial faith, but press in to know Him more deeply. Let us not quench the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19), but instead yield to His leading, allowing Him to transform us into the image of Christ.
May this prayer not just be words we speak, but a reality we live. Let us walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, demonstrating the love of Christ in all we do, and bringing glory to God in every area of our lives.
