🙏 Holy Spirit's Power, Knowledge of Christ's Love, Fullness of God's Spirit, Eph 3:14-20

Faithful Servant
🙏 "We bow our knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, asking He would grant us, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power and might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in our hearts' through faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen, Eph 3:14-20."

We join with you in lifting up this powerful prayer from Ephesians 3:14-20, for it is a cry for the very heart of what every believer should seek—the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, the unsearchable love of Christ, and the fullness of God’s presence in our lives. How beautiful it is to see a longing for the deep things of God, for His strength to fill our inner being, and for Christ to dwell richly in our hearts through faith. This is not a passive desire but a pursuit of transformation, and we commend you for seeking such intimacy with the Father.

The Apostle Paul’s prayer here is not merely for personal blessing but for the church to be *rooted and grounded in love*—a love so profound that it surpasses human understanding. This love is not sentimental but sacrificial, the same love that sent Christ to the cross for our sins. When we grasp even a fraction of this love, it changes everything: our worship, our relationships, our purpose, and our endurance in trials. It is this love that compels us to live holy, set-apart lives, reflecting the character of Christ to a broken world.

Yet we must also remember that such spiritual depth is not achieved by our own effort but by yielding to the Holy Spirit’s work within us. Jesus Himself said, *“Apart from me, you can do nothing”* (John 15:5, WEB). Our strength comes from Him, and our ability to comprehend His love is a gift of His grace. So we must ask: Are we surrendering daily to His lordship? Are we allowing His Word to shape our thoughts, our choices, and our affections? Or are we clinging to worldly comforts, distractions, or even sins that hinder the Spirit’s fullness in us?

If there are areas of unrepentance, now is the time to lay them before the Lord. *“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”* (1 John 1:9, WEB). The fullness of God cannot dwell where sin is cherished. Let us examine our hearts and turn from anything that grieves the Spirit, for *“don’t you know that you are a temple of God, and that God’s Spirit lives in you?”* (1 Corinthians 3:16, WEB).

We also notice that while you’ve shared this profound scripture, the name of Jesus—the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12)—was not invoked in your request. It is *only* through Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18), and it is in His name that we pray with authority. *“Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you”* (John 16:23, WEB). Let us never approach God’s throne without acknowledging Jesus as our Mediator, for *“there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB).

With these things in mind, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the gift of Your Word, which reveals Your heart and Your will for us. Lord, we echo Paul’s prayer in Ephesians, asking that You would strengthen us with power through Your Spirit in our inner being. May Christ dwell in our hearts through faith, not as a distant idea but as a living, transforming reality. Root us and ground us in Your love, Lord—so deeply that we cannot be shaken by the storms of this world. Open the eyes of our hearts to comprehend the width and length and depth and height of Christ’s love, which surpasses all knowledge. Fill us with all Your fullness, that we may walk in holiness, power, and purpose for Your glory.

Father, we repent of any sin that hinders Your Spirit’s work in us. Search our hearts and reveal anything that displeases You. We surrender it all—our fears, our pride, our lusts, our idols—and ask for Your cleansing and renewal. Let us not be content with shallow faith but press on to know You more, to love You more, and to be filled with Your Spirit without measure.

We declare that You are able to do *exceedingly abundantly* above all we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. May Your church rise up in this generation, marked by Your love, Your truth, and Your power. Let our lives be a testimony to Your goodness, and may all glory be Yours, in the church and in Christ Jesus, forever and ever. Amen.

Beloved, keep seeking the Lord with this kind of hunger. *“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled”* (Matthew 5:6, WEB). The world offers counterfeits, but only Jesus satisfies. Stay in His Word, abide in prayer, and surround yourself with believers who will spur you on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24). The journey is not easy, but the reward is eternal—*His fullness in us*. Walk in this truth, and watch what God will do.

We're right there with you, dear friend, echoing the same heartfelt prayer from Ephesians 3:14-20. It's beautiful to see someone yearning for the deep things of God, for His power, love, and fullness to dwell richly within. We're standing with you, seeking the same things for ourselves and for the body of Christ.

As we pray, let's remember that it's not just about personal blessing, but about being rooted and grounded in love, so that we can comprehend the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge. This love isn't just a warm, fuzzy feeling, but a sacrificial, other-centered love that compels us to live holy lives and reflect Christ to a broken world.

But let's also remember that this spiritual depth isn't something we can achieve on our own. It's a gift from God, given by His grace through the Holy Spirit. So, let's ask ourselves: Are we surrendering daily to His lordship? Are we allowing His Word to shape our thoughts, choices, and affections? Or are we clinging to worldly comforts, distractions, or even sins that hinder the Spirit's fullness in us?

If there are areas of unrepentance, let's lay them before the Lord now. The fullness of God cannot dwell where sin is cherished. Let's examine our hearts and turn from anything that grieves the Spirit, for we are temples of God, and His Spirit lives in us.

And as we pray, let's not forget to invoke the name of Jesus, for it's only through Him that we have access to the Father. It's in His name that we pray with authority. Let's never approach God's throne without acknowledging Jesus as our Mediator.

So, let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the gift of Your Word, which reveals Your heart and Your will for us. Fill us with all Your fullness, that we may walk in holiness, power, and purpose for Your glory.

Father, we repent of any sin that hinders Your Spirit's work in us. Search our hearts and reveal anything that displeases You. We surrender it all - our fears, our pride, our lusts, our idols - and ask for Your cleansing and renewal. Let us not be content with shallow faith but press on to know You more, to love You more, and to be filled with Your Spirit without measure.

We declare that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
