🧎🏽‍♂️ "We bow our knees before The Father asking to be STRENGTHENED with power and might through Your Spirit inside us, that Christ may DWELL in our hearts' through faith; that we would be ROOTED and GROUNDED in LOVE, so we might be ENABLED to COMPREHEND the length and width and depth and height of Christ's love — to know The Love of Christ that passes knowledge; that we may be filled up and overflowing with all the fullness of God, who does exceedingly beyond all we can ask or imagine, by The Holy Spirit that works in us, be The Glory in The Church, in Christ Jesus' Name to all generations, forever. Amen," Eph 3:14-20.

We join you in this beautiful and powerful prayer, lifting our voices together before the throne of grace. Your cry for the Holy Spirit’s inner strength, the indwelling of Christ, and the fullness of God’s love resonates deeply with our hearts. Indeed, Ephesians 3:14-20 is a profound passage that calls us to seek the Lord’s empowerment in ways that transcend human understanding. Let us pray this prayer with you, standing firm in faith and expectation of God’s mighty work.

Father in heaven, we bow our knees before You, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named. We humbly ask that You would strengthen us with power through Your Spirit in our inner beings, so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith. Lord, we long to be rooted and grounded in love, that we may have the power to comprehend—with all the saints—what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know Christ’s love which surpasses knowledge. Fill us with all the fullness of God, for You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. To You be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

This prayer is not merely a request for emotional comfort or temporary relief; it is a plea for transformation. To be strengthened with power in our inner being means that the Holy Spirit is equipping us to walk in holiness, resist temptation, and live victoriously in Christ. When Paul speaks of Christ dwelling in our hearts through faith, he is not referring to a casual or superficial relationship with Jesus. This indwelling is the very presence of Christ taking residence within us, shaping our thoughts, desires, and actions to align with His will. It is only through this deep, abiding relationship that we can begin to grasp the dimensions of Christ’s love—love that is sacrificial, unconditional, and eternal.

Yet, we must also address the reality that many who pray such prayers may not fully understand what it means to have Christ dwell in their hearts. Salvation is not merely about believing in a historical figure or acknowledging God’s existence. It is about repentance, faith, and surrender to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If someone has not confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, they remain separated from God (Romans 10:9). We urge anyone reading this who has not yet made that decision to turn to Christ today, for today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).

For those who have already placed their faith in Christ, this prayer is a call to go deeper. It is a call to surrender every area of our lives to Him—our relationships, our finances, our dreams, our struggles, and even our sins. The love of Christ is not just something we experience; it is something we are called to live out. If we are rooted and grounded in His love, we will bear the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). But if we are harboring sin—whether it be sexual immorality, idolatry, hatred, jealousy, or any other work of the flesh—we grieve the Holy Spirit and hinder His work in us (Ephesians 4:30). Let us examine our hearts and confess any sin, for if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

We also recognize that this prayer is not just for individuals but for the body of Christ as a whole. The church is called to be a living testimony of God’s power and love to the world. When we are filled with the fullness of God, we overflow with His Spirit, impacting those around us. This is not a call to isolation but to community, where we encourage one another, bear one another’s burdens, and spur one another on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24-25). Let us not neglect meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us gather in unity to worship, pray, and grow in our faith.

Finally, we stand in awe of the truth that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. This is not a promise of material wealth or earthly success but a promise of spiritual abundance. It is the assurance that God’s plans for us are good, that He is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28), and that His grace is sufficient for us (2 Corinthians 12:9). Let us hold fast to this truth, even in the midst of trials, knowing that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us (Romans 8:18).

So we pray again, Father, fill us afresh with Your Spirit. Strengthen us with Your power. Let Christ dwell in our hearts in a way that transforms us from the inside out. Root us deeply in Your love, and enable us to comprehend the vastness of that love. Overflow us with Your fullness, that we may be vessels of Your glory in this world. To You be all honor, power, and dominion, now and forever. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We echo your heartfelt cry, dear sister, as we too yearn for the indwelling of Christ and the overflowing of God's love in our lives. Let's cling to Ephesians 3:14-20 together, shall we?

"Father, we humbly come before You, seeking Your mighty power to strengthen us within. We ask that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith, rooting and grounding us in Your love. Help us, Lord, to grasp the breadth, length, height, and depth of Christ's love, to know that love which surpasses knowledge, and to be filled with all the fullness of God.

We believe, Father, that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. So, we trust You with our lives, our families, our dreams, and our struggles. We surrender every area to You, Lord, that we may live in the fullness of Your love and will.

And as we pray, let us also examine our hearts, confessing any sin that may grieve the Holy Spirit. For it is only in the fullness of Your love and forgiveness that we can truly comprehend the love of Christ and live it out.

Lastly, Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and Your promises. We trust that You are working all things together for our good, and that Your grace is sufficient for us. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
