Father, we look to You and Your Word, Isaiah 8:20, rather than the noise and pollution of the world. Thank You, "You are able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus, because He lives to make intercession for us," Heb 7:25, c.f. Rom 8:34. We agree with this husband, for his wife, children, family, friends, prayer and minister partners and and himself -- speak to us by any and every ordinary and extraordinary means: Father, with humble confidence, give her, them, us dreams and visions underlining your will for us in Christ Jesus, as You have done from ancient times: Joseph, Matt 1:20, Magi, Matt 2:12, Abimelech, Gen 20:3, Laban to remain neutral regarding Jacob, Gen 31:24, Nebuchadnezzar, Dan 2:1, Dan 4:5, Paul, Acts 19:6, and You will continue to though the future, Heb 13:8. Your arm is not too short, Num 11:23, especially to save, Isa 50:2, Isa 59:1. As little children, "we know You can do all things and no purpose of GOD can be thwarted,"Job 42:2. We agree with John, that light is stronger than darkness and not able to overcome it, John 1:5. We agree that "nothing shall be impossible with God," Luke 1:27, "The things impossible with man are possible with God," Mark 10:27.

Keep her, him, us and our churches, families, friends, pastors and government leaders from temptation, sin, evil, wrongdoing, lies, fear, evil people, deception, and the evil one, Lk 11:4, 1 Cor 8:1, Zeph 3:13, 2 Cor 13:7, 2 Cor 11:6, 2 Tim 3:5, 2 Tim 3:13, Tit 1:16, 2 Thes 3:2, Matt 24:4, Rev 12:9, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, 2 Thes 3:3. With thanksgiving we let our requests be made known and claim Your promise of incomprehensible peace, Phil 4:6-7. We thank You in advance, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, Jesus' Name, The Amen, and Faithful Witness, Rev 3:14, in Jesus ALL Your promises are Yes, and therefore we say, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20... Thank You and you all in Jesus' Name.

We join with you in this beautiful and earnest hunger to hear from the Lord, and we thank you for anchoring your request in the Word and in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

We love your heart that asks the Holy Spirit to speak through every biblical means He has ordained, the Scriptures, messages from the pulpit, divine appointments, godly counsel according to Proverbs 11:14, visions and dreams as in Acts 2:17 and Job 33:14-16, prophecy as in Joel 2:28, the leading of the Spirit in Romans 8:14, and the Shepherd's voice in John 10:27 where Jesus says, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. We affirm with you that our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever as Hebrews 13:8 declares, that His arm is not shortened that it cannot save according to Isaiah 59:1, and that with God all things are possible as Mark 10:27 says, With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.

We also gently encourage you to keep the Word as the supreme test and foundation for all these other means, just as you quoted Isaiah 8:20, Turn to the law and to the testimony, If they don't speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them. Every Scripture is God-breathed and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work as 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says. Visions, dreams, prophecies, impressions, and even signs must be tested, for 1 John 4:1 says, Beloved, don't believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, and 1 Thessalonians 5:20-21 says, Don't despise prophecies, Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good. God did speak to Joseph in Matthew 1:20, to the magi in Matthew 2:12, to Abimelech in Genesis 20:3, and to Paul in Acts 16:9, and He still leads His children today, but He never contradicts His written Word which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path as Psalm 119:105 says. We are not to seek signs as the Pharisees did, but to seek the Lord Himself, and when He in His sovereignty gives a sign in the heavens as in Genesis 1:14 or a sense of the times as in 1 Chronicles 12:32, we receive it with discernment and humility.

We are blessed by your intercession for your wife, children, family, friends, prayer and ministry partners, churches, pastors, and even government leaders, and for your desire for godly marriages and homes that honor the Lord. We agree that the light shines in the darkness and the darkness hasn't overcome it as John 1:5 says, and that He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him, seeing that He lives forever to make intercession for them as Hebrews 7:25 says.

We pray together now.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before Your throne of grace with thanksgiving and let our requests be made known to You. We thank You that Jesus ever lives to make intercession for us according to Romans 8:34 and that nothing spoken by God is impossible according to Luke 1:37. We ask that You speak clearly to this husband, his wife, their children, and all those they have lifted up, through Your holy Word first and foremost, and also through faithful preaching, through the multitude of godly counselors, through divine appointments, and if it pleases You, through dreams, visions, and the gentle leading of the Holy Spirit, for Romans 8:14 says, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God. Grant them ears to hear the Shepherd's voice and grace to follow. Give them wisdom to test everything against Scripture and to hold fast to what is good.

Establish them and guard them from the evil one as 2 Thessalonians 3:3 promises, for You are faithful. Bring them not into temptation but deliver them from the evil one as Matthew 6:13 teaches us to pray, and keep them from deception, lies, fear, and every evil work. Let no purpose of Yours be thwarted in their lives, for we confess with Job in Job 42:2, I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be restrained. Fill their home with Your peace which surpasses all understanding which will guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus according to Philippians 4:6-7, as they trust You in advance believing that whatever they ask in prayer, believing, they will receive as Mark 11:24 says. We claim Your promises yes and amen in Christ according to 2 Corinthians 1:20. Lead their churches and families in righteousness and keep them walking in Your truth until the sign of the Son of Man appears as Matthew 24:30 speaks of, ready and watchful for Your return.

We thank You Father for hearing us, for Your Word is true and Your Spirit is faithful to guide us into all truth. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our intercessor and faithful witness, amen.

We hear your deep longing for the Lord to make Himself clearly known to you, your wife, your children and your wider family and churches, and to keep you all close to Him and guarded from what is false or harmful.

That desire to hear His voice is one we share. We believe God is by nature a communicator who wants relationship with His people, and that the Holy Spirit is given as Counselor and Helper to guide, teach and comfort. In our experience that guidance comes in both quiet and more noticeable ways, an inner prompting, a timely word through a sermon or a trusted friend, a growing sense of peace or conviction as we pray. We have also learned the Spirit's work is always in harmony with truth and marked by love, power held together with wisdom and character brings healing, while power without truth or love can lead us astray. That balance helps us test what we sense we are hearing.

It may help to keep a simple rhythm together as a family, staying rooted in Scripture as your first anchor, bringing any dream, impression or counsel to the Lord in prayer, and talking it through with a pastor you trust who knows you well. Over time that steady practice often brings more clarity than looking for a single dramatic sign.

Father, we lift this husband and his wife, children, family and friends to You. Draw each one nearer to Jesus, give them wisdom to recognize Your leading, peace as they wait on You, and protection from confusion and evil. Shape them more into the likeness of Christ day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join with you in thanking God that you look to Him and to His Word, for to the law and to the testimony we must go, Isaiah 8:20, and there we hear a more sure word than any other. Blessed be His name, He is able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus, because He lives to make intercession for us, Hebrews 7:25, and Christ Himself pleads at the right hand of God, Romans 8:34. There is our confidence, not in any power of our own, but in the blood of Jesus Christ, God's dear Son, which cleanses us from all sin, and in that justification which none can condemn.

You desire to hear the voice of the Lord, and rightly, for the mere letter of the Word alone will kill, but when we hear God's voice speaking in it, then it has power which it could not possess otherwise. It is a blessed thing to put your ear down to the promises of Scripture till you hear God speaking through them to your soul. The voice of the Lord is powerful, the voice of the Lord is full of majesty, Psalm 29:4. It is a commanding voice, a reproving voice, a dividing voice which cuts out with flames of fire. And above every other voice we must hear the voice out of the cloud, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, hear Him, Matthew 17:5. No other voice will suffice unless He speak to us. May the Holy Spirit sweetly enable us to listen diligently to Christ in the Scriptures.

For this reason we would gently counsel you concerning the seeking of extraordinary means. God in ancient times did speak in dreams to Joseph, Matthew 1:20, to the magi, Matthew 2:12, to Abimelech, Genesis 20:3, and to others, and His arm is not too short to save, Numbers 11:23, Isaiah 59:1, and with God nothing shall be impossible, Luke 1:27, and no purpose of His can be thwarted, Job 42:2. Yet the ordinary and certain way in which the Shepherd now makes His sheep hear His voice, John 10:27, and in which the Spirit leads the sons of God, Romans 8:14, is by the Word applied with power to the heart. The Spirit must go with the Word of God, or it is so much wasted breath. We are not to run after signs in the heavens, Genesis 1:14, or to seek signs of the times after the manner of the curious, Matthew 16:3, but to hear the still small voice behind us saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, Isaiah 30:21, as it accords with the written Word.

Therefore we rejoice in those ordinary means you have named, the Bible itself, messages from the pulpit faithfully opened, divine appointments ordered by providence, and godly counsel, for in multitude of counselors there is safety, Proverbs 11:14. In these the Lord often makes His will plain. When any impression, dream, or supposed vision comes, bring it to the Word and try it there, for light is stronger than darkness and the darkness has not overcome it, John 1:5. What is impossible with man is possible with God, Mark 10:27, but God will never lead contrary to what He has already spoken.

We will pray for you as you have asked, for this husband, his wife and children, for family, friends, prayer and ministry partners, for your churches, pastors and those in authority. We ask the Lord to keep you all from temptation, from sin and wrongdoing, from lies and fear, from evil people and deception, and from the evil one himself, Matthew 6:13, Luke 11:4, John 17:15, 2 Thessalonians 3:2,3, for many deceivers are gone out and the whole world is under the power of that deceiver, Revelation 12:9, Matthew 24:4. May you with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God, and may the peace of God which passes all understanding keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6,7. We thank Him in advance, believing that whatsoever we ask according to His will in the name of Jesus, the Amen and faithful Witness, Revelation 3:14, shall be granted, for in Him all the promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Corinthians 1:20.

We have heard your prayer and we join you in looking to God and to His Word, for as the prophet says, we are to look to the law and to the testimony, and if they do not speak according to this word there is no light in them.

We give thanks with you that Jesus lives to make intercession for us and is able to save forever those who come to God through Him. That is our confidence, not any vision or sign of our own seeking, but His finished work and His present priesthood. We agree with you in asking the Father to keep this husband and his wife and children and family and friends and all who minister and pray with them, and to keep their churches and pastors and leaders, from temptation and sin and deception and fear and from the evil one, and to guard them from lies and wrongdoing. We ask Him to let His incomprehensible peace guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus as they make their requests known to Him with thanksgiving.

We also hear your longing that God would speak by every ordinary and extraordinary means, by dreams and visions and signs in the heavens. God indeed is able to do all things and no purpose of His can be thwarted, and in Scripture He did speak in these ways to Joseph and to the Magi and to others according to His sovereign will. Yet we must remember that He has now given us His Word as the sure and sufficient light, and the ordinary ways He shepherds His people through that Word, through faithful preaching from the pulpit, through godly counsel according to Proverbs 11:14, through the leading of the Holy Spirit who makes us hear the Shepherd's voice in obedience to what is already revealed.

For this reason we encourage you not to seek dreams and visions as a regular way of guidance or to ask for them as a test of His will. Dreams are often full of wild fancies and monstrous imaginings, and the things of this present life themselves are like a dream that proves to be nothing when we awake. The saints of old were not distinguished by chasing such things, but by an orderly soul, a collected heart, and a sober life, so that even their sleep was composed and decent and their dreams were not wild, because the fear of God kept their minds from being drowned and stifled. What we need most is to awake from slumber, to put off imaginings and shake off deep sleep, to look to the Sun of Righteousness and to be clothed in virtue, doing the works of the day while it is day.

So we will pray that God will make His will clear to you in Christ Jesus through His Word rightly understood, through preaching that is faithful to Scripture, through wise and prayerful counsel, and through providence ordered by Him. When He in His wisdom does give any extraordinary encouragement, He will do so without our demanding it, and we will test all things by Scripture. Let your household therefore be given to prayer, to reading the Bible together, to regular gathering with the church, to sobriety in food and sleep and speech, and to works of mercy for the poor and the stranger and those in prison. In that path of obedience the heart soon recovers itself and becomes wakeful to hear what the Lord truly says.

We ask the Father to grant you repentance where needed, faith to trust that with God nothing shall be impossible, and yet submission to receive His answer according to His wisdom rather than our own desire for signs. May He keep you from being led astray by deception that goes out into the whole world, and may He establish you in truth, in love, and in a sound mind.

We pray this in the name of Jesus, the Amen and Faithful Witness, in whom all the promises of God are Yes. Amen.
