Way Hedged w/ Thorns until Comes to Senses, Hos 2:6-7, Lk15:7, Godly Sorrow Produces Repentance unto Life 2Cor 7:10, Reconciliation if possible, 2Cor 5:20, Hosea's mercy triumph's over Gomer's sin shows God's Covenantal Faithfulness, Hosea 3:1-2, But Gomer wasn't unwilling to reconcile like in my situation, so not only are the adultery clauses applicable, Mat 5:32, Matt 19:9, (which I would overlook if confessed and repented of, Prov 28:13, John 3:19-20, 1 Jn 1:9), but abandonment by an unbeliever, 1 Cor 7:15, professing to know God but living an unrepentant double-life, Tit1:16, wasn't even Hosea's deal with Gomer, Hos 3:3 -- God says to turn away from such as these, 2 Tim 3:5... Either way, may the kindness of God lead to repentance, Rom 2:4, Salvation, 1 Tim 2:3-4...

Father, Your kindness is intended to lead us to repentance, Rom 2:4. For the sake of Your Word, Eph 5:32, Our vows, Ecclesiastes 5:2, and our offspring, Mal 2:15, grant the free gift of godly sorrow producing a lasting change of heart, mind and behavior as in 2 Cor 7:9-11, from dishonoring Your Name, Ex 20:7, committing adultery, Ex 20:14, stealing, Ex 20:15, the deception occurring during all that, lying to cover it up and once it was found out, Ho 11:1, and its continuance, Ex 20:16, Jer 9:3. I forgive that she did not honor her commitments to attend Bible Study, Church and Biblical Marriage Counseling we agreed to before I left My Home Nor her commitment to rebuilding the relationship while there in Asia, but instead deserted me with the youth, causing the dishonoring of a father, Ex 20:12, and lack of biblically ordained respect toward marriage, Eph 5:32-33, and the commands to lovingly rear godly children, Eph 6:1-4, teaching Scripture, Deut 6:6-7, 2 Tim 3:15.

Release the CONVICTION of The Holy Spirit's righteousness, sin and judgement to come, John 16:18. I ask, as You will, that she would not PERISH but come to REPENTANCE, 2 Pet 3:9. Give Your angels charge over her, him, me, our pastors and all those who pray and contribute financially) -- Grant salvation, 1 Tim 2:4, Acts 16:31-32, and give us ALL grace to be set apart from sin as Your holy people, Ex 19:5-6, Lev 19:2, Lev 20:26, Zeph 3:13, Matt 5:48, 2 Cor 7:1, 2 Cor 13:7, Eph 1:4, 1 Thes 4:7, Heb 12:14, 1 Pet 1:16, 1 Jn 3:3, Rev 14:5. Keep us from temptation, evil, evil people, deceiving imposters and the evil one, Luke 11:4, Matt 6:13, 2 Thes 3:2-3, 2 Tim 3:5, John 17:15 -- Thank You in Jesus' Name

We hear the deep anguish in your heart as you pour out this burden before the Lord, and we stand with you in fervent prayer. Your marriage vows, made before God, are sacred, and the pain of betrayal, deception, and abandonment cuts deeply. Yet we know that our God is a God of justice, mercy, and restoration, and we lift this situation to Him with trembling and hope.

First, we must acknowledge the gravity of sin as you have outlined, adultery, deception, and abandonment are grievous offenses before the Lord. The Word is clear: "You shall not commit adultery" (Exodus 20:14), and Jesus Himself taught that "whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery" (Matthew 19:9). The hardness of heart that leads one to live a double life, professing faith while persisting in unrepentant sin, is a dangerous path. Scripture warns, "They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient, and worthless for any good deed" (Titus 1:16). We must not soften the truth, for the kindness of God is meant to lead to repentance (Romans 2:4), but if there is no repentance, there comes a point where we must "turn away from such people" (2 Timothy 3:5) for the sake of our own spiritual survival.

Yet we also cling to the hope of Hosea, where God commands His prophet to redeem his unfaithful wife, symbolizing His relentless love for His people. The Lord is patient, "not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). We cry out with you for the Holy Spirit to convict of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), that your spouse would not perish but turn back to the Lord with godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). We pray that the hedges of thorns God has placed around her (Hosea 2:6-7) would bring her to her senses, as the prodigal son came to himself (Luke 15:17), and that she would return, not just to you, but first and foremost to the Lord.

We also lift you up, dear brother, for the pain of betrayal and the weight of this trial are heavy. The Lord sees your faithfulness and your desire to honor Him in this marriage. We pray that you would be strengthened by the Holy Spirit, that your heart would be guarded from bitterness, and that you would walk in forgiveness as Christ has forgiven you (Ephesians 4:32). Yet forgiveness does not mean reconciliation without repentance, nor does it mean ignoring the consequences of sin. We pray for wisdom for you, that you would know how to respond in a way that honors God, whether that means pursuing reconciliation with a truly repentant heart or, if necessary, walking in the freedom that Scripture provides in cases of abandonment by an unbeliever (1 Corinthians 7:15).

We also lift up your children, who are caught in the wake of this brokenness. May the Lord be their Father where earthly parents have failed, and may He raise up godly influences in their lives to teach them His ways (Deuteronomy 6:6-7). We pray that they would not grow bitter but would come to know the Lord as their Savior and Redeemer.

Most of all, we pray for salvation, for your spouse, for your children, and for all involved. There is no other name by which we can be saved but the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). If your spouse does not yet truly know Him, we pray that the Lord would draw her to Himself, that she would repent and believe in Jesus for the forgiveness of her sins. If she does know Him but has wandered, we pray that she would return to her first love (Revelation 2:4-5). And we pray that you would continue to grow in holiness, set apart for the Lord, as you walk through this trial.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, yet with faith in Your goodness and justice. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation. Convict of sin, Lord, and bring repentance that leads to life. If it is Your will, restore this marriage, that it may reflect the covenant love between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:32). If not, grant Your servant the strength to walk in freedom and peace, trusting in Your sovereignty. Protect the hearts of the children involved, and draw them to Yourself. Guard against bitterness, Lord, and fill this dear brother with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in purity, wisdom, and grace.

We pray for the pastors and believers who are interceding in this situation, that You would grant them discernment and boldness to speak truth in love. Send Your angels to encamp around this family, Lord, and hedge them in with Your protection. Keep them from the evil one, and deliver them from temptation.

Father, we know that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We trust You with this marriage, with these lives, and with the future. May Your name be glorified, and may Your will be done. In the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Oh Lord, we’re standing with you in this ache, feeling the weight of your heart as you carry this burden. We see the raw honesty in your prayer, the way you’ve laid out the Scriptures like a map of your soul, searching for answers even when the path feels foggy. You’re not just asking for repentance; you’re begging for the kind of transformation that only the Holy Spirit can bring, the kind that turns hearts stone-cold to dust and then plants something new in its place.

We pray for your spouse right now, Lord, open her eyes to the conviction You’re already whispering to her heart. Let the thorns of consequence press in until she can’t ignore the rot beneath. But don’t let her perish; instead, make her hunger for the life You offer, the life that only You can restore. Remind her of Hosea’s story, how Gomer’s sin didn’t erase God’s covenant love, but how His relentless pursuit turned her back to Him. Show her that Your mercy isn’t a blank check, but a lifeline for those who turn to You in real repentance.

And for you, husband, we see the fire in your commitment, the way you’ve honored Your vows even when the world around you wavers. Guard your heart from bitterness, but don’t let Your love grow cold either. Give you the strength to walk this out with grace, whether the road leads to reconciliation or freedom. Either way, You’re with you. And if the children are caught in this storm, Lord, be their shelter. Let them see Your faithfulness even when their parents fall short.

We’re praying for the pastors and believers who are already lifting this up, let Your angels encamp around them, too. And for you, personally, we ask for clarity. Will You show you the next step? Will You give you the words to speak, or the wisdom to stay silent? Whatever it is, we trust You.

Father, we’re not asking for easy answers, just Your presence. Your righteousness. Your love. And the kind of repentance that doesn’t just change behavior, but changes everything. In Jesus’ name, we believe. We wait. And we trust. Amen.

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt prayer request and have stood with you in agreement before the Lord, lifting up your marriage, your spouse, and your family with the earnest hope that the Holy Spirit would bring conviction, repentance, and restoration. Your reliance on Scripture and your desire to see God’s kindness lead to true repentance (Romans 2:4) has been at the center of our prayers. We have asked the Lord to hedge your spouse’s way with thorns (Hosea 2:6-7) if necessary, that she might come to her senses and return to the path of righteousness, just as the prodigal son did in Luke 15:7. We have prayed fervently that godly sorrow would produce in her a lasting change of heart, mind, and behavior (2 Corinthians 7:10), and that she would be reconciled to both God and you, as Hosea’s story illustrates (Hosea 3:1-2).

We have also prayed for *you*, that you would be strengthened in your faith, your patience, and your obedience to God’s Word, even in the face of deep pain and uncertainty. We asked the Lord to guard your heart from bitterness, to grant you wisdom in every decision, and to fill you with His peace as you wait on Him. We have lifted up the vows you both made before God (Ecclesiastes 5:2) and the well-being of your children (Malachi 2:15), asking that the Lord would move in power to redeem what has been broken.

If the Lord has answered these prayers—if there has been any softening of heart, any step toward repentance, or any sign of His faithfulness—we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report from you. Your testimony of God’s work would encourage all of us to keep trusting in His perfect timing and unfailing love.

If, however, you are still waiting and walking through this valley, we want you to know that we are not finished standing with you. Please share this request again, and we will continue to intercede on your behalf, believing with you that God is able to do far more than we could ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Whether He chooses to restore your marriage, grant you grace to walk in holiness as a single believer (1 Corinthians 7:15), or lead you in a new direction, we trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

May the Lord bless you with His presence, His comfort, and His clear guidance as you seek Him with all your heart.
