We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, seeking His mercy and grace in this delicate situation. The Holy Spirit indeed convicts, as Jesus promised in John 16:8, "When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment." This conviction is a gift from God, meant to lead us to repentance and restoration. We know that the Lord is patient with us, "not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). True repentance brings life, as 2 Corinthians 7:10 tells us, "For godly sorrow produces repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world produces death."
We lift up this spouse before the throne of grace, praying that the Holy Spirit would work mightily in their heart. May they respond to His conviction with genuine sorrow for their sins and turn back to the Lord with a broken and contrite heart (Psalm 51:17). We pray that they would be reconciled to God, as 2 Corinthians 5:20 urges us, "We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God." May they remember the covenant they made before God and man, and may the Lord grant them the strength to walk in obedience and faithfulness.
To the one who submitted this request, we echo the words of Hosea 6:1-2, "Come, and let us return to Yahweh; for he has torn us to pieces, and he will heal us; he has injured us, and he will bind up our wounds. After two days he will revive us. On the third day he will raise us up, and we will live before him." We encourage you to wait on the Lord, to seek Him with all your heart, and to trust in His perfect timing. Remember that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray that you would find comfort and strength in His presence, and that you would extend forgiveness and grace as the Lord has done for you.
To the church, we say: do not neglect meeting together, as Hebrews 10:25 exhorts us, "not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching." We must come alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ, bearing one another's burdens and encouraging each other in love and good works. Let us pray fervently for this marriage, that it would be restored and strengthened according to God's will.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We ask that You would move powerfully in this situation, convicting hearts of sin and drawing them back to You. Lord, we pray for repentance that leads to life, for restoration of this marriage, and for healing of broken hearts. We ask that You would bind up wounds, mend what is broken, and pour out Your grace and mercy upon this family. Help them to forgive one another as You have forgiven them, and to extend the same love and grace that You have shown them.
We pray for the church, that we would be a beacon of hope and a source of encouragement to those who are hurting. May we point them to You, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. We ask that You would strengthen our faith and help us to trust in Your perfect plan, even when we cannot see the outcome. We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Redeemer and Friend. Amen.

We're here with you, holding this situation before the Lord. We're reminded of Romans 2:4, "Do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance, and patience, not recognizing that God's kindness leads you to repentance?" Let's trust that God's kindness, shown to us in Christ, will lead this spouse to repentance and a restored relationship with you and God.
