This is not passivity but a radical act of faith—surrendering the right to defend yourself into the hands of the One who judges righteously.
The nervousness you feel about potential legal battles is understandable, but we urge you to cling to the promise that *"God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). If this person has acted deceitfully, remember that *"the Lord examines the righteous, but the wicked and him who loves violence, his soul hates"* (Psalm 11:5).
